  • Before recording on cassette.

As reviewed by Thaddeus Grabowski on 10/28/2013

Be sure your tape recorder is clean. Turn cassette take-up reel with pencil or similar object so tape is not loose. Fast forward to end then rewind. This ensures tape is wound evenly. Check take-up reel as before. Keep magnetic tape away from magnetic fields such as speakers, guitar pickups, and electronic devices. I have recorded on over 40 Trutone 15 min. cassettes with only one difficulty, probably from inadvertant exposure to magnetic field.

  • Trutone cassette tapes work fine.

As reviewed by TJ Grabowski on 7/3/2013

I bought a 10-pack first, worked fine. Bought a 25-pack, have used 18 with no problems. Be sure tape is not loose before using, also FF then REW to be sure tape is wound evenly.

  • FF, Rewind

As reviewed by TJ Grabowski on 6/14/2013

When using a new cassette tape fast forward to end then rewind, making the tape wound evenly on the reels. Sometimes the cassette has been stored in an environment with temperature fluctuations, causing uneven tension. I recorded all 10 cassettes with no trouble.
