The cam operated, helical groove design provides the user with the smoothest, quietest, most durable, and roadworthy throw-off ever made. Close-tolerance CNC machined components are suspended in a special synthetic lubricant that give it an effortless and fluid movement. To increase resonance, very thin rails keep the remainder of the body elevated away from the shell. It is manufactured from solid machined metal parts and features a chrome-plated exterior.

I recently upgraded the snares on my snare drum to the Puresound 30 snare wires, versus the 20 snare wire that came stock with my DW/PDP snare. The stock throw struggled to hold them without slipping. So I tried the Trick Drums GS007 and couldn't have been happier. It did involve having to drill new holes in the shell. Its screw holes are vertically aligned, not horizontal, but that wasn't difficult. I especially like the fact that the pull of the throw is completely vertical, i.e. no outward swing before lift. This allows a very precise adjustment. The throw lever itself moves horizontal in a circular motion. Lastly, it looks very nice, which doesn't hurt.
This Throw-off is extremely well constructed. From the machined aluminum to it's simple gliding parts, it's functionality is one of a kind. it's fairly weighty, but I see that as more of a sign of durability than a drawback. if I had one complaint it would be the screw length is limited, but I doubt that will affect most people as the screws are long/short enough to accommodate the majority of standard thickness snare drum shells. Overall I would highly recommend this Throw-off to whomever has the cash to fork over for an outstanding snare drum mod or, as in my case, to build their own custom snare drum.
this throw-off is amazing! super smooth and easy to use. if i didnt have one on my ocdp snare already, id buy one and get it on there.
I've been an active drummer for 18 years, and I have never found a more heavy duty throw off. Smooth on/off action. Very heavy duty, but extremely easy to use and install. Don't settle for less; it's well worth the money.
I have one of these, I think they are far better than the throw offs that come standard on many drums in my opinion. If you had a DW match up holes wise, it would be perfect. It works all the time, never fails or locks up, Micro adjustable, and they are smooth and quiet. A far cry from the not always reliable stock throws. thats some serious gear for drummers right there!
