The last travel guitar you'll ever need
I purchased the Traveler Speedster to accompany me on frequent business trips in the United States, Europe, and Asia. I had previously used travel acoustics, including the Washburn Rover and Martin Backpacker, but never really found them comfortable to play or pleasing to hear. The Speedster is a completely different animal. It?s very comfortable to play and sounds great. As an added bonus, it?s very small and can actually fit inside my suitcase.
The Speedster?s dual rail humbucker greatly exceeded my expectations. I was already shopping for possible replacements before my guitar arrived, but I quickly discover the stock pup met all my needs. The wide sweep of the tone control allows it to go from a bright, clear high to a darker, crunchier tone that sounds great with higher amp gain.
The fit and finish of the guitar were much better than expected. The fretwork is excellent. There are no sharp ends at all. All guitars should be finished this well. I found no defects in the finish. I chose the candy apple red and it turned out to be a deep crimson metallic red that looks great. The set-up from the factory was great, but just a little too low for me. With a quick adjustment to the bridge, I was all set.
Additional features of the guitar include a volume control, a tone knob, adjustable roller bridge, recessed tuning machines, gig bag, and a detachable tear drop armrest. The volume control works as expected. The tone control has a wide sweep that makes it very useful for this one pick-up guitar. The roller bridge is adjustable every which way and appears to be a great design. The tuners have held tune great even with my many bends. The detachable armrest makes the guitar very comfortable to play standing or sitting. With the contoured bottom and the tear drop in place, there?s really no adjustment or re-learning needed to play. Everything feels natural. The neck is a bit thick, but is comfortable. It?s more like an LP than a strat.
The guitar feels reliable and sturdy, even with it?s relatively light weight. The only improvement I would recommend is a rubber washer beneath the tear drop attachment screw. A tight screw is needed to keep the tear drop from working loose, but the screw could damage the finish there if you crank down on it too hard. I cut a small washer from my kids thin craft foam sheet and it?s working great.
The guitar?s playability is outstanding. I?ve coupled it with a Zoom 9003 and a decent pair of lightweight headphones and it sounds fantastic. I can move about freely and rock out in hotels and airports everywhere with no one complaining about the noise. It?s so small and comfortable that I?ve even been playing it around the house more often than my strat and LP! After three tries, I have no doubt that I?ve found my last travel guitar. I wish I had found the Traveler Speedster three years ago.

Travel speedster is great for road tripping
My good buddy has this guitar and I can say that honestly this guitar is great, outstanding and simply put outstanding. We bring this guitar on road trips and mess around with it, he has a jack converter so we can hook it up to any stereo and be the leader of the party at any house and speaker.
It is so light and small that it can fit into about every duffel bag I own. The travel speedster is a piece of work and is just as good as any guitar i have ever played for the price. I have to say that this isnt a real guitar you would want for hardcore shows but it goes beyond what it was made for. This lets you become the king of parties and get in a few licks on the road. It weighs less than a pile of clothes and is much more fun. For the price I recomend it as a must for anyone who can spare the money.

very fast
I saw one of these in my local guitar center, and felt compelled to pick it up, just for what I conceived to be its novelty value, but I was very impressed. I just started ripping up and down the neck with complete ease. I'm not quite sure what about it that it was that let me play so fast, but it was unlike any other guitar I've ever picked up. It also feels to be about 1/10 of the weight of my Les Pauls which makes it really enjoyable to play. Now obviously the quality of such a cheap guitar could never match up to my Gibson, but for such an affordable price, with the features it presents compels me to go out and buy it in the very near future, if not today.
