Comments about Traveler Guitar Ultra-Light Ukulele:

I love it! I originally bought this so I could play the uke with headphones, without bothering my house mate. But I actually sometimes use it without any amplification at all. It has a quiet gentle vibe, without an amp or headphones. But with an amp or headphones it sounds great too! I love its compact size and the gig bag it comes with. The biggest shortcoming for me is that the wrap-around-tuning is less responsive than standard uke tuning. I also removed the leather strap at the end, which was held on by a plastic zip-tie. The zip-tie would bite into my hand when I would play, so I replaced it with a black string, so I could hang up the uke when I am not using it. I have been using it with GarageBand and AmpliTube, with and without simulated amps, but I have not yet tried it with a standard amp. All-in-all I am really enjoying it!

Great idea but a disappointment

Comments about Traveler Guitar Ultra-Light Ukulele:

This is a great concept, but unfortunately the execution isn't there. When I got this uke I was really excited, but then I plugged it in and the G and C strings had fret buzz the entire length. The tech at Guitar Center examined it. We returned it. Got another one. Looked fine in the box. Plugged it in. This time the G string only had a buzz. If I had bought it used, or knew I was getting a deeply discounted second, I might have kept it. It may have just been a bad batch. But after striking out twice I gave up.
