Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Steel-String Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar:

I travel constantly and for my needs this is perfect. It dosen't pretend to be any more than it is supposed to be. Sound is adequate, the tuners are what keeps this small and portable but a little tough to change tunings but worth the trade off. Quiet to others and as loud as you want to you.

Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Steel-String Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar:

I've had this Escape guitar for almost three months now and could not be happier with it. It's a constant companion on my many trips, including flights, where I store it in the overhead bin. I most often plug it into a small 7"X7" Bose speaker, which easily fits into the guitar bag's side storage pouch, and it provides great sound. It can be surprisingly loud, if you want to crank the volume. If I don't want to disturb anyone, I use my earbuds instead.

The fret board has a nice feel to it, and the strings rarely need re-tuning. I find it best to play with a shoulder strap while standing up, as it doesn't balance as easily as a full-size guitar while sitting. I've got four other guitars, including electric, acoustic, and combined types, and this Escape guitar has become the one I play most often.

This was a great purchase -- kudos to the designers at Traveler Guitar.

    I love this guitar!

Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Steel-String Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar:

I take this thing wherever I go--and even end up playing it a lot at home (where I have several sweet and far pricier guitars, electric and acoustic). Why? Because the action is great, it sounds really good, and I can jam loud--but silently with headphones--when others are sleeping. It's quality matches the 5 star ratings I've seen here and elsewhere. Just love this axe!

    Great Little Guitar

    By pj

Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Steel-String Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar:

I have had my Traveller Escape for just over 3 years and have mostly used it for a practice guitar. It is perfect to just sit on the couch and play; it is very comfortable and I not disturb anybody else in the family. I have probably played thousands of hours on this gutar sitting very comfortably. The headphone jack is also a great feature, you just might want to use your own headphones, theirs anre worthless. I did have problems after several years with the jack giving me buzz and cutting in and out. It is a wierd jack and can only be replaced with one of theirs. I still gave this guitar a 5, though, because when I took it back to the factory they fixed it up, no charge, and even put a new neck on the guitar because some of my frets were lifting and they did not like the way they were. I didn't even ask them to do that. Great customer support! Overall I love my Escape!

    Fantastic instrument

    By Bob

    from Camarillo, CA

Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Steel-String Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar:

Since I am unable to play traditional guitars do to shoulder problems, the Escape is life renewed! The neck rivals any acoustic-electric neck that I have played, and the headphone feature makes this instrument just plain fun. I play the Escape through a Boss AD-8 pedal to a standard electric amp when playing out, and the setup sounds great. I had the opportunity to contact the factory on a question, and found customer service to be very responsive and helpful. The only thing I would change on the guitar as delivered are the strings (I never liked D'Addario anyway). I use Elixer Phosphor Bronze extra light (.010 - .047) acoustic strings.

    Little Guitar, BIG Sound....

    By Tele-Caster

Comments about Traveler Guitar Escape Steel-String Acoustic-Electric Travel Guitar:

I play a Traveler Escape in live performance. Set-up on mine was perfect. Intonation is spot-on. The tuning stability is excellent. The solid body means no feedback issues, even in bad rooms with lousy P.A. gear. Sound quality was exactly what I was looking for, and the slight increase in sustain over hollow-bodies suits my penchant for melodic lead breaks well. The only downside I've found is that changing strings is a chore. Otherwise, I love my "Redneck Steinberger" and am very happy with it. I plan on buying the bass next.
