Overview

The Traveler Guitar EG-2 is a full 25 ½-scale electric guitar featuring a compact traditional double-cutaway body shape and classic 3-ply pick guard, which provide vintage looks and modern comfort to the traveling guitarist. At just 29 ½ long, the EG-2 stows easily in airline overhead compartments and weighs less than 5 pounds.

Two precision-placed single-coil pickups feed into the EG-2s built-in Pocket Rock-it headphone amplifier, which is custom-designed to produce classic clean and distortion sounds through headphones or when plugged into an amplifier. Players can also go passive into their amp of choice. The EG-2s onboard electronics include a 1/8 AUX IN jack so players can jam with tracks from an external device such as an mp3 or CD player. Additional controls include Tone & Volume knobs and a 3-way pickup selector.

The Traveler Guitar EG-2 also boasts more traditional guitar features such as an alder body, American Hard Maple neck, ebonized rosewood fretboard, standard strap pins and a fully adjustable truss rod. Includes Deluxe Gig Bag, 9V battery and comes standard with DAddario EXL-110 strings.

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

I ordered this Travel guitar for my husband about 3-4 weeks ago. He loves the guitar, the quality is excellent and it shipped as promised. It sounds great, even when he playes it!
He checked the status on your website about a week before it arrived and discovered the price had been lowered $70. After receiving the shipment he took the invoice to your Northridge store and they credited our Credit Card. Thank you Guitar Center! He now has 5 guitars, and they were purchased from your Store!

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

This is my second guitar because the first one that I got had a defective headset jack, so verdict is still out on if I'm going to have a problem with this one or not;however, so far so good with this second one. I haven't had mine for too long but I'm really enjoying it for practicing, everything on it is nice and solid and this particular model really is super nice! Love the color, too, only thing, if had to complain, is the toggle switch seems a bit cheap and not as durable as the rest of the guitar. Over all I would recommend it for on the go fun and practicing-a little expensive but it's really a nice product for your on the go lifestyle.

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

Full size 25.5 inch fretboard and only 29.5 inch total length, goes in my backpack and I take it with me almost anywhere... this is it's most distinctive feature and is worth the purchase alone. Of course, it also plays and sounds good, its a pretty nice guitar overall. I'm very happy with it, and enjoy hours of extra playing time because it's always in my backpack.

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

Professional on Organ/Keyboards, want to Master rest of rhythm section. Often keep EG-2 bedside, practice when I can't sleep or in morning, lack of headstock keeps it from banging bedside lamp.

Have a Gretsch Electromatic as a main guitar and a Yamaha bass.

The plastic finish is of some concern, it is similar to China/Korea Asian piano finishes.

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

As a major Airline Pilot, I take my TravelGuitar EG-2 on every trip with me. When I'm in my hotel room I just plug in my iPad, my earbuds and wail away to my songs on iTunes. The built-in amp with distortion is awesome. My only complaint is that it is a little heavy, but it is rugged and sturdy, withstanding the rigors of travel.
