Overview

The Traveler Guitars EG-2 is a full 25-1/2"-scale electric guitar featuring a compact, traditional, double-cutaway body shape and classic 3-ply pickguard, which provide vintage looks and modern comfort to the traveling guitarist. At just 29-1/2" long, the EG-2 stows easily in airline overhead compartments and weighs less than 5 pounds.

Two precision-placed, single-coil pickups feed into the EG-2's built-in Pocket Rock-It headphone amplifier, which is custom-designed to produce classic clean and distortion sounds through headphones or when plugged into an amplifier. Players can also go passive into their amp of choice. The EG-2's onboard electronics include a 1/8" AUX IN jack so players can jam with tracks from an external device such as an MP3 or CD player. Additional controls include Tone and Volume knobs and a 3-way pickup selector.

The Traveler Guitar EG-2 also boasts more traditional guitar features such as an alder body, American hard maple neck, ebonized rosewood fingerboard, standard strap pins and a fully adjustable truss rod. Includes Deluxe Gig Bag, 9V battery and comes standard with D'Addario EXL-110 strings.

The perfect road-companion

By

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

When I ordered this guitar I was unsure about the sound, but when I got it it blew me away! This thing is very easy to transport and play, and sounds great!! It's amazing the sound you get with the headphones, I really recommend it if you travel a lot or to take it to work like me ;). The only things I didn't like are the guitar's balance when you use a guitar strap, but thats due to the lack of a headstock, and the tuners could definitely be better. So, at the end, this is a great guitar, you'll be blown away by the headphones-preamp's sound (clean is good, but distortion is great!) Get yourself one!! Ooo and btw... It's very easy to adjust the action and intonation.

A truly GREAT little guitar

By

from Reno, NV

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

I've been an acoustic player for several decades and have recently started my electric education. I've owned a Gibson SG, an Epiphone Les Paul and a Traveler Speedster (which I liked a lot, despite its limitations). The Speedster encouraged me to try the EG-2, which I like better than either the SG or Les Paul full-size models. It has all the features of the bigger guitars, (even some items the bigger guitars don't have, like the headphone jack, the additional input for audio devices & built in overdrive) including the full-scale neck and the great size of a travel guitar. It also weighs FAR less than the full size solid body guitars. What's not to like? In fact, I love this thing! You will, too: Buy it!

This Guitar Rocks!!!

By

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

I was just in guitar center putzing around and this random guy tells me about the traveler guitar. I had a Martin travel guitar that I didn't really like and because of my work wanted some kind of quality to bring on the road. I found one of these and started fiddling with it. I played with the "EG 2" and it blew me away. The funny thing was I don't think any of the employee's at Guitar Center new what this guitar could do. I talked to about 3 different employees about it. And when they played it they were stunned. The greatest quality is you can plug it into your headphones and click on the pocket rocket amp in a clean or dirty tone. And the sound is phenomenal! The guitar plays and sounds so good, I would guess you wouldn't get this kind of quality out of a $1,000 full size guitar. If you are a traveler and want an outstanding guitar, buy this today!

wow!

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

just got this axe and all i can say is wow! im currently in afghanistan so the compact size is great, the carrying bag is very handy with two pouches for misc accessories. the tone is great i was curious if the onboard clean/distortion head phone amp works thru not just head phones but thru an actual amp and i was pleasently surprised it does! it has killer sounds thru the pignose i brought out here with me, the clean is crystal clear and how dirty do you want it again, distortion is way sick and the added benefit of not having to haul a dirt pedal around and still have the effect is sweet. this is a great follow up to my travel guitar speedster, travel guitar you have outdone yourself what a great travel companion!

Love this guitar

By

from You're Belinda, CA

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-2 Travel Electric Guitar:

Needed a small guitar for business trips, but more importantly while watching sports...full size guitars are too big and clunky to keep on you all the time like that. What if the phone rings or something? EG-2 is perfect...a companion unobtrusive. Has a full 25.5" neck and is remarkably solid. It feels completely identical to a mexi strat or ibanez. Love it. Love it. Love it.
