Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-1 Custom Electric Guitar:

I absolutely adore this guitar. I've had it for about 6 months and it is hands down my favorite guitar of the dozen or so that I have owned. It looks cool, sounds great, has terrific action, and stays in tune. I can honestly say that my laying has improved tremendously as a result of owning this guitar. Why? Because it is so easy to grab and play anywhere, and especially because you can just plug in any old set of headphones and you're set. I keep it right next to the bed, just leaning against the side of the bed, and grab it whenever the urge strikes me. So I end u laying SO much more than I used to. It is ultra convenient! If visiting someone it's so easy to bring along. And it also sounds great when plugged in to a full sized amp. I love low action, and it holds such nice low action and feels so playable for me. The tuners are a hair awkward at first, but only because of being used to reach for them at the end of the neck. I am perfectly used to them now.

    returning it this weekend

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-1 Custom Electric Guitar:

I desperately wanted a good travel/practice guitar, so I went for the high end traveler. Here are the problems 1) will not hold tune for 1 song 2) audio out jack cuts in and out 3) tuner decides not to function at times. Any one of the above problems would be a serious problem. All of them... well....it's going back I DO appreciate GC's 30 day trial period.

Great idea build and features but some key concerns

Comments about Traveler Guitar EG-1 Custom Electric Guitar:

I just bought this guitar I'm sure it is durable it's similar to the Speedster. I have a Steinberger Spirit less-expensive many pick up options I have a Yamaha silent guitar (YSG) acoustic that has a headphone jack to mix with MP3 BUT alsoReverb (awesome). T his guitar feels like a real guitar looks great sounds good. Objectively the negatives are that is a short scale not even a High D which is seriously limiting for me. I have not tried to change the strings though it looks a little strange. The pocket rocket and headphone is very cool BUT for me reverb is more important. U can get he speedster for much less and use a tiny efx w/ phones as I prefer reverb. I have arm issues and may be happier with the steinberger OR the speedsterr arm rest. I usually wait to write reviews but I can see it's well-built and very cool BUT for this price point you can buy a very serious guitar STEINBERGER - pickup options, 24 frets, real guitar but no phones jack, mp3, db strings SPEEDSTER - light, 22 frets, inexpensive but no phone jack, mp3 etc Ysg - if they had an electric version i will get that- built in reverb and mp3 jack picked up options 24 frets sounds and plays beautifully. THE CUSTOM: 21 frets at this price point is insulting to the customer I would prefer to have reverb over the distortion I would prefer to have a stick rather than rest my arm which could make it very difficult to play complex passages past the 17th or 19th Fret. Again I think it is a very good idea the pros: Well-built, plays and looks like a Les Paul, pocket rocket, built-in tuner, MP3 mix and very portable The cons: Only 21 frets, very pricey, no reverb, uncomfortable for forearm ( but that may be me) TRY the speedster with and wout the arm rest. THE GUITAR is beautiful but the price and 21 frets and ergonomics may lead you to a cheaper alternative
