Overview

The Traveler Guitar AG-105EQ Acoustic-Electric Guitar is one of the shortest full-scale acoustic/electric travel guitars on the market. Traveler's Streamline Tuning System eliminates the need for a headstock, making the guitar smaller and better balanced than other travel acoustics. In addition, the modified traditional bracing pattern creates more volume and presence than you'd expect from a travel-sized instrument.

The AG-105EQ includes a custom preamp from Shadow with a sound so full you'll swear you're playing a full-sized guitar. The preamp also works through headphones and features a built-in tuner and a 1/8" aux-in for jamming with your MP3 player. With the new AG-105EQ from Traveler Guitar, you can take your full-scale acoustic/electric playing experience anywhere.

Comments about Traveler Guitar AG-105EQ Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I already own the totally acoustic AG-105. This is better because I can plug-it-in. The small body creates mid-range and treble tone, but not so much bass. But when plugged-in it sounds like any other acoustic/electric guitar. The size is very convenient. Easy to carry. Easy to play in a small space. The tuner is handy too. I plugged this into a MicroCube amp to play on the street corner and it sounded great. The included gig-bag is very high quality and is good for riding my bicycle. The price is a bit steep, but once you own it you won't regret it.

Comments about Traveler Guitar AG-105EQ Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

After a long and unsatisfying search, I ordered one of these online. I had to adjust the action, replace the original medium guage strings with lights, and tape down some of the internal wires to stop them buzzing. That may seem like a lot, but the result is the best playing and best sounding travel-size guitar out there. Significantly smaller than a parlor guitar. The only way to get better sound is with a full size instrument or close to it (like the Taylor Gs mini which is no smaller than my classical). I'm happy to have something I can take worry-free and almost compromise-free on my travels. I rated 4 instead of 5 only because of the initial set up needed.

Comments about Traveler Guitar AG-105EQ Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Solid wood guitar. Great travel companion and beach/camp fire guitar. Electronics are great and sound awesome recorded. A travel guitar that takes full gauge acoustic strings (well .012s). Great sound for the body size - can't say enough about the functionality. The only issue is the fit and finish- went through a couple of hem to get this one and while it sounds good- the cap on the neck isn't mounted straight. When I brought it to traveler's attention I was told that if it didn't affect the playability hen I shouldn't be concerned with that......not sure that's the right answer.
