  this guitar absolutly sucks. if you want a good travel guitar get an aria sinsonido. its way smaller, has a built in preamp for headphones, sounds 1000 times better, and is the only travel guitar that looks good.

  There is nothing comparable on the market when it comes to size. However, I would recommend the Yamaha Silent Guitar if you are traveling and need a practice nylon guitar. The shortened scale and feel are awful. Tone is not good. Yes, it is very light-weight.

• Traveler Guitar Ultra Light Nylon Acoustic-Electric Guitar

  I've had this guitar for almost a year now. I originally bought it to use while playing in the orchestra for the local community theater. Space is cramped and a full size acoustic is at too much risk of damage in the tight quarters. The guitar is extremely basic. No volume or tone controls at all, which is OK for me because I use external EQ with my acoustics. I get surprisingly good tone through my setup. It has been a lot of fun seeing the reactions of people when they find out they weren't hearing an acoustic guitar. The quality of this guitar has been good. It has held up well. The frets are smooth and the neck is straight. I can play a very high volume without feedback. It took awhile to get used to the small size and light weight, but now I don't give it a second thought. One thing I had to change, though, was the saddle. The original grooved saddle made it VERY difficult to tune. After I replaced the saddle with a smooth one and the tuning problems were resolved. I gave this a rating of 4 because it does what it was designed to do and is put together well. I'm pushing this product beyond its intended use, but it has worked well in performance situations. Really, the only problem was the saddle, which has been resolved. The lack of tone control is fine with me. A volume control would be handy, though.
