I've owned this guitar for appx. 4-5 years, and have been extremely satisfied with it. fit and finish have been good to very good, and I've had no complaints with the electrics, action, etc. The neck adjustment hammer (wrench) is a POS, but that's the only negative that I've had with this instrument. Plays well, hold the tuning well, and is very tolerant of extremes in temperature: car in the south in the summer to an airconditioned building with no obvious negative effects noted-it does need tuning after, naturally.
This guitar was designed to fit a specific requirement by the designer. If you are in the military or other profession that requires extensive travel with nominal space, this guitar is great. If you purchase it as a novelty that is what it will become; however, if you use it as it was intended it will be well worht the investment.
I bought this guitar before I went on a 3 week trip to Poland and Israel. And it was amazing! I was able to bring it throug security with no problem at all. It "legally" fit as a carry-on, even on Israely flights. Though it untuned a bit quickly, I never had trouble with it. Yet the most wonderful thing about the guitar is the stethopones. It sounds like a full blown acoustic guitar. Most important though is to get more comfortable ear pieces. But do buy it. It is sturdy and easy to carry.
