Everything you need when you're flying

I was pleasantly surprised when I unpacked this guitar - it looks and feels well engineered and well built, and the action out of the box was not bad at all. The headphones weren't to my liking, but I am a bit biased as I prefer earbuds. The sound through an amp is better than headphones alone - with just headphones the tone of the heavier gauge strings (E, A & D) seemed lacking compared to the brighter tones of G, B & E. I guess that is due to the piezo pickup? With an amp (I use Line 6 Pocket Pod amp models) you can adjust for the disparity and it all comes together quite nicely! I've hauled this through many airports, practiced and played in many hotels and enjoyed having it around when I needed to decompress. The bag and the guitar have held up well to a lot of miles. Now if I can only get an EG 1 as well...

Traveler Escape MK-II

I always wanted a travel guitar but was never satisfied with the junk available in stores. I bought the Escape on the spot and have never been happier. It's great to practice in the hotels while on the road. I think the quality is good enough to play a gig but when you have Taylors as an option that's not an option. I trashed the cheap headphones and tried ear buds but was not too satisified with those either so I got a very nice noise cancelling head set and found that to be a perfect combo. The guitar has held up for two years of traveling without a problem. If you know of a better traveling guitar buy it. I'll stay with my Escape.
