It's like having the best drums available with the best possible sound 24 hours a day! Beating tool sounds include brushes, drum sticks, rods, and felt mallets. Felt, plastic or wood bass beaters! Customize your drum kit with the instruments of your choice, 60+ cymbals, 5 drumkits, 8 hi-hats, and 17 snares to choose from, all top quality, and some signature instruments not available on the market!
Access a massive percussion collection from Meinl with different bongos, congas, tambourines, cowbells, triangles, and much more. There's also a cocktail kit from Yamaha. All sounds are recorded with the best mics and preamps on the market without any pre- or post-processing of the sounds. Each mic has its own designated output channel with natural bleed from the rest of the drums, and every hit is randomized for non-linear performance. The programmable environment has been made as close to a real studio session as possible. All leakage, that is a big part of the sound in a drum recording, bleeds naturally through all mics. Superior lets you choose whether or not you want bleed in each mic, and if you want a bit less bleed (say, for example, you need to lower the volume of the hi-hat bleed through the snare microphone; now you can do that).
Superior's ambition is to cover most needs when it comes to genuine drums. From hard metal to soft jazz and acoustic music.
Superior comes with 3 plug-ins; Superior Drummer, Superior Percussionist, and Superior Cocktail

Comments about Toontrack Drum Kit From Hell Superior:
I'm a computer based musician but primarily a drummer. I was getting tired of the flat, unrealistic drum sounds that I had in various programs. When I found Toontrack's dfh Superior, it was like opening my eyes for the first time. Whenever I load this up and start playing with it, it's like hearing real drums. There's a simple explanation for this...they are real. They are actual recordings of actual drums. Another feature that adds to the realism is the mic bleeding. This is something that gets overlooked far too often. When you record a drum kit, the snare mic doesn't just pick up the snare, it picks up a little hi-hat, a little bass, a little cymbal. You can also adjust the levels of mic bleeding. If you want a little less snare through the bass mic, just point and click. Also, the two other plug-ins that come with this are amazing. I love the percussion plug-in, especially when I need drums in a track but don't want a drum set. All the same features are accessible in the two other plug-ins. One thing to be aware of, this is a huge program. It can be a bit of a RAM hog. You can get by with 512 MB with all the different forms of memory saving you have at your finger tips. However, I would highly recommend upgrading to at least 1 GB of RAM to fully appreciate what this program can do.
