The sampled drums on Toontrack EZXpansion Nashville feature the drumming of Harry Stinson and Chuck Ainlay. Stinson and Ainlay may not be the most recognizable names to country fans, but the Grammy Award winners' resumes are filled with names that are. The two have played drums, produced, engineered, and written with everyone from Johnny Cash to Steve Earle, Faith Hill to Martina McBride. So what better duo to have team up for Toontrack's Nashville EZXpansion pack for the EZdrummer sampler? Though country music has a wide variety of styles, from bluegrass to rocking boogie, there is a distinct sound you'll find in no other genre. It's all captured here in the 1.2 GB drum sample library featuring stickwork, brushes, and even fingers. You may not know Harry Stinson and Chuck Ainlay, but after working with their drum samples, you're going to want to thank them personally.

  • Punchy kit, Brushes are a great compliment

As reviewed by Andre Mayeux on 9/18/2009

I don't write reviews, but since I usually read customer reviews, I felt the Nashville expansion pack deserved my review. This kit is great for pop, rock, and of course country. Might be too thick for funk or jazz. When I put it in a track I noticed the kick had a great low end, but the click of the beater was too loud for my taste. It is an easy fix opening a multi audio instrument in Logic Pro and using a multi instance of EZ Drummer. I assigned the kick to it's own channel and cut around 4k to taste. The china crash has a very long sustain and is great used with a regular crash. The brushes (sounding more like blast sticks) give you the train beat.

  • Nice Expansion Pack

As reviewed by RJC Studios on 8/6/2010

EZDrummer is a great program and the expansion packs make the program even better. The new kits are good and sound great although I expected more loops to be included. The expansions packs were on sale so I'm happy. If I paid full price, maybe not so much. Wait for the GC sale, you'll be happy too.
