Korg's REMS modeling technology and extensive on-the-floor control.

The Toneworks AX3000G Guitar Multi Effects Pedal packs over 72 models and effects sounds. These include a wide array of vintage modern amps, cabs, pedals, and pickups; a full slate of standard effects such as chorus, delay, and reverb; plus some brand new effects such as Filtron. You can use the Acoustic effect to transform the sound of your electric guitar into that of an electro-acoustic, or Pickup Modeling to transform the tonal character of your pickups without switching guitars.

The AX3000G also provides send/return jacks that make it easy for you to connect your favorite effect unit There's even a digital output (S/PDIF optical) jack so you can digitally record your playing.

A built-in expression pedal can be used in the standard ways for volume and wah, but also can be assigned to other parameters to provide an additional layer of realtime control and unusual effects. For example, if you assign the Manual parameter of a flanger to the pedal, you can use the pedal to control the sweep, creating a highly distinctive sound. By assigning the Toneworks pedal to control the delay time of the Echo Plus effect (which models the sound of a tape echo), you can use the pedal to control delay time. The AX3000G pedal can control the reverberation time of a reverb effect, the modulation speed of a chorus, flanger, or phaser, and much more.

The AX3000G also provides a dedicated control switch for effects, which is especially useful in live performance. For example, you can use it to switch an effect block (such as the pre-effect or insert effect) on and off, to set effect parameters such as tap tempo of a delay in real time, to switch the rotational speed of a rotary speaker effect, or to control the Expression Step Sequencer (ESS).

The Expression Step Sequencer or ESS is an especially innovative feature. It automatically controls effects parameters in a fixed or random way. It allows 8-step control and a choice of 7 possible variation types: forward, backward, alternate 1/2, random, one-shot forward, alternate 1/2 one-shot. Sequencer playback can be slowed or sped up with the expression pedal, and the overall result is sounds with complex movement.

Other features include a S/PDIF optical output, insert send/return, stereo aux input, and headphone output. A built-in auto chromatic tuner operates automatically when the Toneworks AX3000G is bypassed or muted. Simply by selecting Mute mode when you're on stage, you can tune without producing sound from your guitar amp. The note name is shown in the bank display, and the pedal indicator and name display provide an accurate pitch indication that is easy to see even on dimly lit stages.

Great Product

This pedal is possibly the single most amazing multi effects processor I've ever used. The mod/pre/delay/reverb effects are all amazingly well done and 100% tweakable. The distortions are the only problem I have with it, they seem a bit redundant, but I have made some decent tones! The ESS can be used for so much and is a very nice feature, I also love being able to turn effects on and off with the control button. My favorite effect is the Filtron because it can give you a technoish sound if you use the synth pre-effect with it and tweak it around, very very cool stuff thats similar to expensive synthesizers! Overall, great product especially for its price!

ax3000g review

I have had the Korg AX3000G for a couple of months. I read the manual and the began to try progrmming a few channels to my preferences. The procedure was relitively easy to do and I am content with what I did. I will never use all of the 96 channels. However, for the price I paid for the rest of the features this has, extra channels that will not be used seems insignificant. I play this through a VOX valvetronics 50 watt amp that has a tube preamp. I am very satisfied with the sounds I can get with my Ibanez AF-85 and the Wolftone replacement pickups I have installed.

Better than a Boss ME-50 and Digitech

The korg Ax3000g offers so much more than it's competitors. First off is the massive amounts of effects, ranging from phaser, to various wahs, to repeating delays. Each effect on this unit is completly tweakable, and ever aspect one each effect could be set to your personal preference. The ESS is a cool feature and makes some really awesome arpegios. Everything on the unit is put together well and strongly. The amp models show to be extremly useful, especially when acting as a preamp. You can get any sound you could possibly want, it's incredible. This Korg really beats out it's competitors with the lowest price of the bunch.

AX3000G

I bought this modeling processor about 5 months ago and I was satisfied with what it could do. The sound is good and the effects too. The ESS Sequencer is good when u do all kinds of trills, but I dont use that at all. Its great for its price. I would prefer to buy the Boss GT8 because it has more options. But if you are in a tight budget, like me, I recommend buying this processor.

Good pedal.......;

As you've all probably heard the distortion is weak, and it is. I've owned one for about 1 year, through my expirience the pedal is best for its modulation effects, reverb, and delays, the acoustic simulator is good too. Never found a use for the ESS feature, although i did hear it on a cd once. The 96 programmable channels are more than enough for me, the 32 preset channels are really good. It's simple interface is more than easy use, a blind person could probly use it. The tunner on this is dead on accurate. The time between switching effects is annoying to me, its a bit long. The ONE thing that is calling me to sell it is that when it is set to bypass, it is not 100% bypassed, the sound/signal is degrad. This effects proccessor is among the best for its price. I would recommend it unless your going to be playing through abunch of amps
