Overview

The Toca Jingle-Hit Tambourine with Mount solves a problem drum set and percussion players were having when hitting Toca's mounted tambourines and getting an audible stick sound. On the other side of the stage, hand percussionists were getting bruises on long gigs from repeated tambourine hand slaps.

Toca's solution: the Jingle-Hit Tambourine. This instrument is constructed from six-ply wood fitted with six double rows of jingles that emit a bright, chime-y blend, perfect for a multitude of musical genres. A rubberized rim eliminates stick sounds so you hear only the tambourine's jingles. The rim is also much easier on the hands when used for handheld play. With the included Gibraltar Mount, it will fit on any standard 3/8" post and will find a home in any contemporary drum set or multi-percussion set up. An added plus is the sleek black finish.

Play the Jingle Hit Tambourine with sticks or play it with your hands. With sticks, you will not get the sharp attack that distracts listeners from the jingle action; with hands, you will experience pure pleasure and an absence of trauma. This one is destined for many a drum and percussion set up.

Features
  • 6" diameter with 6-ply wood construction
  • Rubber playing surface can be played either by drumstick or hand
  • Soft rubber surface will not harm your hand
  • White Pearl covering
  • Equipped with mounting bracket, can be easily mounted on any 3/8" mounting post
  • 5 double-row Nickel-plated jingles provide a bright sound that projects

The Best Mounted Tambourine I've tried

Comments about Toca Jingle-Hit Tambourine with Mount:

This is the best mounted tambourine I've used. Previously I used a metal ring tambourine with strike pads on my hi-hat. It had a very noticeable, dry stick click when played with a stick, and did not have much sound or jingle when used by the hi-hat foot pedal. This wooden Toca tam with the double jingles and soft strike pad all the way around is much, much better. The size is just right to mount on the hi-hat rod and not be in the way of playing the hi-hat. It has a noticeable jingle, more like a real tambourine sound and is nicely responsive to the drumstick or the high had closing back beats. The closest I have found to a hand-played tambourine sound. Others have commented on it's nice tambourine sound when played on the hi-hat. Compared to others I have used, I like this the best and would recommend it.

          I love this thing

Comments about Toca Jingle-Hit Tambourine with Mount:

I have owned this item for 7 years and it has stood up very well. If I lost it I would buy another one. Yes you eventually wear out the rubber hitting area but nothing that is hit by a stick lasts forever unless it is made out of steel. The cast clamp and steel "L" arm are also well made.

          TOCA JINGLE HIT TAMBOURINE

          By David Wood

          from Fort Worth, TX

Comments about Toca Jingle-Hit Tambourine with Mount:

The Toca Jingle Hit Tambourine is exactly what I needed. It's compact enough to place anywhere on your drum kit. The mount that comes with it also has an extra mount for an additional accessory if you want to add one. It is a little to big to attach to my Hi Hat, but that is because of the way my set is configured. Thanks Guitar Center!
