The Toca Freestyle Black Mamba Cannon 14" Rope Tuned Djembe has amazing low bass tones and highs that cut. Its shell is made of an extremely lightweight, synthetic material that is seamless and durable. It features an authentic goatskin head finished in black dye and a protective rubber bottom.

I purchased this one used from GC and it was listed as like new. I found the used drum to be in fine shape, but cannot get it tuned. The skin is stretched and will not tighten to my preference. As for the overall quality. The skin is listed as goat. It is so processed that I have a hard time believing it was once alive. The platic barrel is lightweight and well plastic. I hoped this drum would be a lightweight and inexpensive alternative to my high quality wood djembe. It is not. If you are used to quality, it is hard to make the adjustment. This one sounds tin-ny and hollow. May be fine to be heard at a large drum circle, but I wouldn't want to hear that pitch as a listener. I am returning it and will invest in a mid level wood djembe for travel and drum circles.
