...different opinion...

By Shari Meyer

from New Orleans, LA

Comments about Tiger Clarinet Swabs:

I was surprised to read the 3-star reveiew, as I came back to purchase more of these swabs. They dry the instrument, and if I've had a problem, it wasn't memorable. Certainly, a higher priced swab would be better, but that's why they cost more. I use one of these on my own clarinet. (Of course, that's if you want to trust a trumpet player on a Bundy clarinet! :)

Getting stuck is an issue

By Jon

from Akron, OH

Comments about Tiger Clarinet Swabs:

I bought this swab because I wanted a cheap swab to oil my clarinet with. This swab is much cheaper than other swabs, so it fit the bill. Then it got stuck. The material is thick and it fills the entire bore of the horn when dragged through, so there is always a good amount of resistance when being dragged past the register key vent. I managed to get the swab past the vent by pulling just a little harder, but it feels very uncomfortable. Also, the swab is so tiny (only a couple inches long) that there is almost no way to pull it out from behind if it gets stuck. I wouldn't recommend this swab, regardless of how cheap it is. It just seems like an accident waiting to happen.
