Comments about The Realist Double Bass Transducer Pickup:

This pickup is very easy to install, and sounds as close to natural as any pickup I've heard.
As with all piezo pickups, you should be running it through a preamp with a HPF ( high pass filter)
This will eliminate any harsh "woofy" lows and feedback issues.
I run my upright through a HPF Technologies preamp then into my Fender Rumble 500. Zero feedback issues with higher volumes.

Comments about The Realist Double Bass Transducer Pickup:

I bought this thing to replace a Fishman BP 100 that came on a laminate bass I purchased for touring. The sound and feedback are much better than the Fishman. But at high volumes, I still get more feedback than I do with my Planet pickup on my carved bass. Most of the gigs I play require me to be loud. This pickup cannot handle that. From what I now understand, wing mounted pickups are better for feedback. I'll probably buy another Planet or try out the K&K.
