Feedback can turn a delicate acoustic guitar passage into a screaming, earsplitting beast in the blink of an eye. You can help control feedback and add carved-wood beauty to your guitar with Lute Holes - solid wood carvings that fit into an acoustic guitar's soundhole. Available in maple or walnut, Lute Holes install in seconds with no modifications to your guitar. Fits standard steel string 4"-diameter soundholes that have no neck protrusion in the hole. 3 different designs provide different levels of feedback protection-light, medium, and heavy. In most instances light protection is all that's necessary, so pick the design you like best and lock the beast in its cage!

I have a Martin OMC 160 GTE acoustic-electric, and purchased the heavy feedback control Lute Hole cover in maple. It wood design and color matches the guitar pretty well and aesthetically looks fantastic. It cuts down the feedback considerably, especially when used with my guitar's built in notch filter, which was insufficient on its own. I just leave it in all the time now. I am also happy and elated to report that it does not diminish or change the tonal qualities of the guitar in any noticeable way when played unplugged. When plugged-in, I actually get far superior tone, especially since I don't have to forcefully diminish the bass frequencies on my equalizer to stop the ringing and feedback on the E and A strings anymore. I have gone from settling for tinny, to enjoying a deep full sound at volume. I had also purchased one of the inexpensive black rubber sound hole covers from another manufacturer at the same time. That did not even come close to fitting my 3.75 inch diameter sound hole. I could probably make it fit, but that is now destined to sit on a shelf forever, as I could never bring myself to replace the quality and beauty of the maple cover with an unattractive black rubber stopper. If you are on the fence, just get it! You won't be disappointed!
absolutely gorgeous. sounds night&day better than a rubber sound hole plug, and does what it says. can't believe such a piece of art was so cheap!
bought the lute sound hole cover (moderate coverage) for my takamine G series after reading other reviews. not only did it take care of the roaring feedback of my top two bass strings, did not effect the acoustic sound of the guitar, it was very easy to install and looks good also. some people who have seen my guitar from a short distance thought that the guitar was made made with the that way. worth the thirty dollars, good product would recommend to any one with a feedback problem.
I put the heavy maple Lute Hole on my Taylor 314 CE. It stopped my feedback problems. It makes the guitar look even better. Highly recomend this product.
I love the look and it did insert easily into the sound hole. Have not had a chance to use it in a full stage setting with mics and amps -- so not sure if it will give the feedback control I am seeking. Hopefully will know soon. So far it has worked well in a small setting.
I like it! Plain and simple. I does take some work to get it fitted on the guitar, but once it is on, It seems pretty snug. It cured my feed back problem with my acoustic guitar amp. I have recieved positive comments from my friends about the cover. It looks real good. I have an Ibanez AEL series acoustic guitar that this Lute Hole Cover fits on.
Product review for LuteHole Cover 4" soundhole cover for feedback control: I was very pleased with the quality of this product. Using it on my Takamine G series acoustic-electric plugged into my roland amp I only needed moderate feedback coverage for the bass notes when I strum. Not only does it fix the feedback problem without muting the sound, It is very well crafted of solid wood and adds a unique touch to the look of my guitar. I like the different color and control level options that you can choose from. As a female guitarist, I was very pleased to find this product that gives me the right amount of feedback control in a very aesthetically pleasing package.
I have a beautiful Taylor that I love and I hated the idea of sticking an ugly rubber plug in it to help with feedback trouble. Thank God I found this product! The quality is WAY beyond what I was expecting and it resolved my feedback problems instantly. What makes it even better is that is doesn't close off the sondhole all the way. And what really surprsed me is that my guitar still sounds great with it installed even when I'm not plugged in!!! I thought I'd have to pull it out every time I wanted to play acoustically. I just leave it in full time. Love it, it's worth every penny.
