The TM60 is a fine amp for its price. Analog emulation of tube amps, which admittedly isn't all that great, but gets a good sound of its own. Channel 1, the Fender channel, gets a GREAT clean sound, especially if you've got a great guitar, and does an excellent overdriven tweed sound once you get the drive and midrange Punch knob up. The second channel is solid state sounding and undefined. The first channel is still great and takes pedals well too. Effects loop and reverb are also good. The TM60 makes for a great recording amp, and a manageable live amp.

Well, I really wanted to like this amp. I read the reviews and watched all the youtube videos I could find but just before my 30 days was up I returned it to GC and swapped it out for a Vox AC15C1. I have to say I did find some great tones on both channels using an American Strat and Tele. You can find very Fenderish cleans to slight break up to heavy (not metal) distortion between the two channels. The footswitch with the boost function was a great idea but there was just something about the the sound coming from the speaker. With the bite button engaged on channel 1 you get a really warm full sound that makes you forget you're listening to a 1x12 combo. However, when I dug into the strings my ears would split from the ice pick like highs. Turn the bite off and the ice pick mellows but so does the good stuff. I also noticed a boxy tone on both channels when directly compared to a Vox AD50VT. If this were a $300 amp I'd still have it but I just didn't have $600 worth of love for it. When I got the AC15 home my search ended for an amp. My Tele sounded like a Tele and the Strat like a Stat. The tube warmth instantly made me realize I made the right choice even if I gave a up a few bells and whistles. Good amp with no modeling which I really liked (tired of tweaking knobs), but just not for me. Unfortunately not too many places stock these so it's hard to find one to play through.

Comments about Tech 21 Trademark 60 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I just got this amp about a month ago and it is a great amp. It has some excellent sounds and versatility. Right now, I just play at home and it still sounds good at low volumes. It can get loud, though, so I do not see a problem with using this amp at a gig or some other live setting. My family, who do not usually listen to me play, even commented how much better this amp sounds compared to my previous amp! The eq settings are a little different than other amps, but Tech 21 provide some good suggestions in the manual for a place to start. I also have a small pedal board and the Trademark 60 seems to take my pedals well, as many others have stated. All in all, this a great analog guitar amp that I am very pleased with!

Comments about Tech 21 Trademark 60 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I just wanted to encourage "The Gambler" from Vegas because he bought one of the best--if not THE best--analog guitar amp around. I've owned mine for nearly 10 years and still enjoy most of the amp's features, its durability, and portability. You've made a great choice that should provide you with great sounds for decades. It's so nice to be able to "direct in" to a PA system's XLR input without any significant (if any) degradation of tone or distortion. Or you can simply mic in to the PA board. If you need more power for, say, outdoor live gigs you can add the "Power Engine" speaker to boost output to 120 watts RMS. Enjoy!

Comments about Tech 21 Trademark 60 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is crazy good. There's a few people in the review comments that say they were not impressed. YOU HAVE TO BREAK IN THE SPEAKER! That's true for every amp. The clean channel is so warm and sparkly. It's the closest sound to a Fender clean I've ever heard. Maybe even better. Yeah I said it. I've heard some junky Fender amps. This amp just sings on the clean channel. And it goes all the way up to breakup on the clean channel. Everything from sparkly to fuzzy and warm. It also does that mid-rangy barky thing that a good tweed amp does. The overdrive channel is good but not great. I've gigged this amp plenty of times with my pedal board. Sounds awesome. Will never get rid of it. Good for the bedroom or the stage. You'll have to mic it up tho. It's not super loud. I'd buy it again. Worth checking out for sure.

Comments about Tech 21 Trademark 60 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This is not my first quality solid state analog amp. I give this one high marks for great tones that sound way better than the current crop of digital amps. Lot of versatility and takes pedals well. Great loop and line out make this a great gigging amp. Very well built also. You can't go wrong here folks. Highly recommended!

      I'm a believer

      By Armando Nunez

      from Orange, CA

Comments about Tech 21 Trademark 60 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I am not normally a fan of solid state, but this amp has changed my thinking. I found it just as responsive as a tube. The drive on channel 1 or 2 gives me a nice variety using my American Strat with the sensitivity adjustment using the guitar volume. Big clean sound, I hate to say it but I actually prefer it over my Fender Deville 4 10's. I keep a tube amp on the side, but so far I havnt needed it.

      This little beast kicks hard!

      By Willie D. Bluesman

      from Wichita, Kansas

Comments about Tech 21 Trademark 60 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I paid less then they cost now, 6 years ago when I bought mine. I have used this in medium sized venues with great results, and in small setings it is easily the KING of Amps! Tone beyond experience, you can change one small setting and you won't believe what you hear! Channel 1 Has great blues sounds, as does channel 2 with a bit of edge to it. You can dial in great sustain, like the sound of overdriven tubes with this baby! I have used it with my acoustics and my electrics with good results all around! The only drawback I can report is that it doesn't have the ability to shape the Bass/Treble/Mid on each channel. Other than that this beast is a great amp. The knob layout is easy to master, but the variety will never cease to amaze! Make a record of your settings, or you will be finding that you cannot get back to that oerfect sound you had a last nights gig! Believe me, I have lost a bunch of good settings, and they can be hard to find exactly due to the variety of small adjustments on all knobs and push buttons. Footswitch is durable and has not given me one bit of trouble.

This is the amp I keep coming back to

      By broonsby

      from Portland, ME

Comments about Tech 21 Trademark 60 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is that rarest of beasts. You know, the one you actually keep. Best solid state amp I've ever owned and still my favorite practice amp. Clean channel = Fender Pro Reverb without the fragile speakers or tube hassles. Nails it. Want the dirty SRV sound? Does that too. High Gain = in between a Marshall and Mesa sound. It's a little different than either, still good. Highly reliable. I have had it for 10 years now without any issues. This is the little amp that can. Practice, studio, stage, no problems, just play:)

      Dynamic little gigging amp

      By Rev. Sparks

      from Central Ohio

Comments about Tech 21 Trademark 60 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've had this amp for about 6 months now and it's my new all-time favorite (replacing my trusty but tired old Multivox). I've always loved the sounds of the classic Fender, Vox and Marshall amps but had a hard time justifying their cost. After reading numerous reviews and trying several different amps, both tube and solid state, I found this little gem. It was able to recreate the sounds of those famous amps, plus it has some features that make it very versatile, such as the built in direct box and various foot-switching options. On top of the great sound and features, it only weighs 36 pounds, so I can carry it myself as my only amp and still get all the sounds I want without lugging two or more amps and/or a pile of effects pedals. It's also plenty loud for the places I play. Awesome.
