Tech 21 makes the Bass Driver Deluxe for bassists who like to switch it up on stage. The SansAmp Bass Driver Deluxe is an excellent live tool for the tone-hopping, preset-stomping player. The Deluxe is all about fast delivery of monster Tech 21 bass tones in the fray of a live performance. You can plug the Bass Driver Deluxe directly into the board for premium tones without miking, or directly through the house PA without using a separate amp. But for even more planet-dominating sound, set the Bass Driver up with a power amp, speaker cab, and then through the house PA.
Dual inputs enable two instruments to be on-line and ready to go with a pop-free selector. You can program three custom tones for each input, or use all six for a single instrument. You can also program the FX loop to engage your favorite effect with a particular setting and the Deluxe will bring it every time that preset is selected. The fat, funky tones of the SansAmp Bass Driver series are incredible. With an all-analog signal path, 2 inputs, 6 presets, a programmable effect loop, and parallel/tuner out, the stage-optimized Deluxe is a great weapon in the quest for great grooves in live performance.

Boy am I glad I bought this unit . The six factory presets are probably all I will ever need , but you can change them very easily and quickly . The sound is fantastic . The output is huge and it just plain ROCKS . I've had other devices and this absolutely eats them alive . Thank you Tech 21 for making it and Matt for recommending it .
The other review has made the pedal seem terrible and go unnoticed for years but I'm here to say the opposite to change that. If you love the Sansamp BDDI (which you should if you ever tried it) then you will love this as well. It has all the same features plus a ton more for only a little bit extra cash
I have owned and played through a Bass Driver for many years. Was really excited to get one of these mainly because I could keep my sound and have a effects loop all in one tidy foot pedal package. What a disappointment. The tone controls are not as responsive, the drive had to be all the way off to get rid of any clipping sounds and the thing had severe ground problems. Tried it with my 3 basses and 4 different amps. Took it to a guitar shop to see if something was wrong with my basses or he pedal. Verdict...Pedal was bad. Talked to Tech 21. Got another sent to me and had the same problems only noiseier. No matter where I put it in the chain. Arggh! I traded it off. Don't waste your money on this. Get a Boss pedal like the noise supressor for a good effects loop and quiet pedal.
