  • A Bass Players Must Have.

As reviewed by Ron. Betts (Blind Energy) on 8/4/2010

Tech 21, this item is truly a bass players dream. Whatever sound your looking for is possible with this piece of equipment. And to be able to control the level going to the front of house is just a dream come true. The Tech 21 is also perfect for studio use. Just plug in your bass and use the DI out and adjust the sound to your taste and your off and running. The price is a little high but well worth every penny. Don't even think about buying something else. I've tried just about everything possible in terms of finding the right sound. But when I purchased this I sold all the rest of the pedals, etc. Trust me, if your looking to step up your game it's all right here.

  • simply put, buy this.

As reviewed by Joe on 4/28/2008

If you play bass, buy this, because it can make the sound you want. I play a fender geddy lee jazz bass thru this and a hartke ha2500 out of an Ampeg 4x10, and there hasnt been a sound i can't achieve. I'ts also great for recording because i can track both a clean and a sansamp signal at the same time for mixing. Simply put, this is the greatest preamp you're going to find.

  • Amazing Preamp!

As reviewed by Steve on 9/18/2008

This preamp is amazing! It offers a large variety of sounds and I personally think that bassists of any style looking for a good cheap preamp should purchase this! it offers sounds from warm tube all the way to funky Jamaican slap sounds. It is loud! i had to turn my amp down quite a bit after putting this preamp in my rack. I used to play at around 6 and now I'm down to 3 or 4 depending on where I'm playing.
