I have owned this amp for almost 6 years. It is fantastic. I use an Line 6 X3 and this is fantastic. With almost 15 years of professional experience, I can tell you without a doubt, that this is the best way to go. This thing will get loud if you need it to, but we always mic it, so I never have the need to go up higher than 1/4 of the way. Does not color sound at all...and is light weight, but has taken a beating from me, and still looks new. This is a great road amp, if you use lots of effects, like I do. Plus, at the price, you cant beat the quality of Tech 21.

  • Pure uncolored sound!!

As reviewed by CraigNY on 1/13/2010

I purchased this to use with my Vox Tonelab St and it suits it perfectly. This is THE product to use with any pre-amp or effect processor. It offers a clean sound that will not "color" your tone. There is an on board EQ in case you need to tweak the sound. If you run any kind of these effect units the Tech 21 is the only way to go. Its built well(like all of their products), it's lightweight, and it's LOUD! If you need more power you can daisy chain these from here to eternity!

  • Dual Tone Heaven!

As reviewed by Michael Carpenter on 3/22/2013

A must have for anyone who uses any kind of modeling. Studio to stage by just plugging in. Been recording for years with Line 6 PODs and other modeling systems using Line 6 Variax 700 and Ibanez RG 570 guitars, Ibanez SR Series bass and a Yamaha acoustic. I use a massive variety of styles and tones and FINALLY I get to hear the exact tones live!!! I bought two of these Tech 21 Power Engine 60s for L/R dual-tones that I use with my POD X3 Live. The perfect tones that were in my headphones and recordings are now filling the room without any coloration from preamps; George Benson, David Gilmour, Brian Setzer, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Perry Al DiMeola, et. al. These Celestion Seventy80 speakers are every bit as sweet as the vintage 1968 Celestions I used to have. Volume on 2 at home is perfectly warm yet still punchy and growling. Dead silent until I touch a string. Turn them up to 5 and the house rumbles. I don't need to try 10, but you can daisy chain unlimited amps to build and amp-wall if you want to. The tweed grills make them look like furniture in my living room too.
