angelic sonic vibrations

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

this was truly love at first strum... I mean wow... I took one strum of this beauty and tearing it up instantly, I knew that this guitar was "the oneۡݕ_ I have played many Taylors but this guitar beats them all out. I converted from playing steel string because I was popping strings with picks, and shredding my fingers without picks so I was at a quandary as to what to do. I saved up and bought one a little over a year ago. I received her after much anticipation and fell in love instantly!!!!! This guitar has such amazing dynamic capabilities! Thereۡs a mellow melodic tone that as a singer/songwriter has opened up new channels of songwriting and pure jamitude, possesses great rhythmic possibilities which, as a percussion player at heart, feels natural in my hands. This guitar has revolutionized the way I play, sing, write, and view music.

Taylor Quality, decent price point

By JohnnyGuitar

from Undisclosed

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I've owned this guitar for about 8 months.

It has a neck like a Taylor, so if you play Taylor steel strings, you will immediately like the feel. It is a hybrid neck -- meaning not a traditional classical neck. Personally, I wish Taylor would make a nylon string with a traditional classical neck, but so far I don't see that in their line-up. If you are used to a traditional classical guitar, this is a little bit different. The hybrid neck is convex curvature on the fretboard, instead of slightly concave. It is narrower and more similar to a traditional acoustic steel string guitar.

Overall this is a really nice guitar in terms of build quality, appearance, fit and finish. The electronics are decent and function well. The tuners are good quality. I find the sound a little bit stiff or sanitized, perhaps because I was playing a cedar top guitar previously and this is a spruce top. The low end seems a little bit thin to me, perhaps it will "open up" a little bit with more play But it does take a fairly hard/loud crescendos well and stays "together". It doesn't fall apart under increases in intensity like some cheaper classical's I've played and I like that a lot about this guitar. With amping and EQ the slightly thin low end can be adjusted for. Played sans amp, the bass response is why I graded this a 9 instead of a 10.

Its also annoying that its very hard to find these in stock in any guitar store prior to purchase. I had to purchase it sight and sound unheard...although I did get to play a nylon string Taylor (cheaper one) at a Taylor Roadshow. However, even working with Taylor directly, they couldn't ID a store anywhere in Northern California that had an NS32 in stock when I was trying to purchase. I had to go online and order it to get it and essentially to even try it. If I wasn't already an owner of other Taylors, I wouldn't have made the purchase at all.

I wish I had an opportunity to play this NS32 and an NS72 side by side before I purchased, because I think perhaps I would have liked the NS72 more. Taylor should do more to encourage dealers to stock a couple of their nylon string guitars.

You wont be disappointed

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

Ive been playing guitar for a bit over 5 years now and have always been a steel string acoustic guy, but decided i wanted to take up classical guitar. I tried out many guitars but none measured up to this ones looks and sound. Ive owned the guitar for about 6 months and easily my favorite instrument, the taylor expression electronics sound great, with very little to no feedback. Finish looks amazing and so does the rosette (which is also much different on the 2010 models than the one pictured, looks way better), tuners look and function great, and the grand concert body is perfect for a classical guitar; the sound resonates awesome and provides warm lows and very clean highs from the nylon strings (definately stick with the recommended DeAddario strings). The Included case is also very quality. Overall great instrument.

American Classic

By Bgroovy2

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

Got this guitar about a month ago and have no regrets. This is a finlly crafted American instrument. The neck is not a traditional classic, it is a little narrower but the string spacing is about the same. It is the smoothest playing prodution nylon I have ever played. the action is tight and the tone is beautiful and warm, highly recomended!

Great Nylon String

By Old School Shredder

from Sunnyvale, CA

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I'm a Taylor guy who wanted a nylon string for performance use. I'm not into fancy fretboard inlay or expensive wood. It's not a collectable. Give me a basic guitar with great sound and great playability and I'm off to work. This guitar delivers. The guitar arrived in perfect condition, perfect setup and a better than expected hard shell case. I highly recommend it.

Strong projection and bass

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I played this instrument in a music store a couple of days ago. I was amazed at how light and comfortable to play the guitar was. I was even more impressed with the projection that this instrument has. It likely has to do in part to the spruce top, but the bass and mid-tones projected so well to the point that you could really feel the notes as you are playing. The playability was excellent and the sound was great.

Classical With Volume

By Chris-uysVu

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I play classical and light jazz. This plays wonderfully, is light, quick, great warmth and depth. I have played guitar for 40 years and record for net sites, and I can say this is a great instrument. It can punch with strumming, then immediately go back to a warm singing voice. I strongly recommend this guitar for nylon players. Wonderful for solo work. No feed back.

Beauty In Nylon

By Rob

from Fresno, CA

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

Make no mistake about this guitar! Taylor makes an awesome product here and one doesn't need to go out and buy a more expensive "classical" to achieve the sound that this one delivers! I was considering the complimentary nylon version to my Martin 000C16GTE, but when I saw this one hanging on the wall, I had to look no more! Even if you were to get the next higher models, you really wouldn't need to! Do recommend D'Addario strings for it!

Excellent Guitar for your fingers

By Usedtobegretschman

from Fuquay Varina, NC

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I have played guitar for almost 40 years but I never mastered fingerstyle. I bought one of these guitars about 4 years ago and found it so easy to play (with a good sound), that I started teaching myself fingerstyle and now that is what I do, and have been able to carry that over to the my steel strings. I credit this guitar's playability and good tone to enable me to stay with it and even inspire me to grow more in the past four years than I did in theprevious thirty. Tough changing strings, though, and that is a technique that must be learned and developed!

Lefty

By Ron-N.yoN

from APO, AE

Comments about Taylor NS32-CE Nylon String Grand Concert Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I have a steel string Taylor and want one in nylon string. The great thing about them is that they will make anything they have in a lefty for the same price. I have an Ovation nylon w/ no cut-away (flipped the bridge) and love the sound, but they sell no true lefty. I know Taylors sound good.
