It's not often you get the opportunity to really get a one-of-a-kind, one-off instrument, but now's your chance. This Custom-GC-9220 Acoustic-Electric was purchased at NAMM 2016 straight from Taylor's booth and is now yours for the taking. This Grand Concert comes with an all-grade A koa body with Sitka CV bracing with relief rout, figured maple binding, a single ring maple rosette, fiber purling, standard carve profile, Expression System 2 electronics and a shaded edgeburst finish that really makes this unique creation a great investment.
Brown hardshell case included.
Grand Concert The smallest of Taylor’s full-size body shapes. Its compact dimensions make for a physically comfortable guitar with an intimate feel and sound. The smaller footprint keeps the overtones in check, contributing to a focused, articulate sound that’s well-suited for recording and stage work.
Hawaiian Koa A hardwood top such as koa produces a natural compression, so there tends to be more of a controlled, sustaining “roll-in” effect to a note. An all-koa guitar will produce strong fundamental focus, with a splash of top-end shimmer.
Expression System 2 Taylor’s breakthrough acoustic pickup marks a major advance in piezo technology thanks to a patented behind-the-saddle design. The unique placement of three piezo sensors captures a more dynamic range of acoustic sound and responds well in a variety of settings.
