I Can't Really Believe It Either!

Comments about Taylor Big Baby Acoustic Guitar:

I am a self-proclaimed guitar addict. I love them like women love purses and shoes. So I own a ridiculous number of them, and I have never written a review for one in my 47 years. Until now. I bought a PRS Angelus in January, and really thought I'd never be more excited about a new acoustic guitar. And then I happened to pick up a Taylor (BBT)... I have a 614-CE, the PRS, a Takamine, a Yamaha, and a few others, and this BB Taylor is without a doubt the most incredible sounding guitar I own, and it's not even really close. This will sound snobbish, (and I say it to hopefully lend credibility to my review), but I never considered even picking one of these up before, because I've never played a guitar in this price range that I could envision myself playing after the newness wore off. I haven't taken any of the others out of their cases in a week. And I don't really see myself finding a reason to do so anytime soon. This is simply the most player friendly, sonically pleasing, resonating guitar I've ever had. I know, I can't believe it either, but the fact remains that the ears don't know brands, or price ranges. They just know which sounds stand out to them, and in a blind comparison, I'd wager on my Taylor BBT winning 8 of 10 times. Do yourself a favor, and play one. You'll hear what every reviewer on this site has heard, and you'll be as shocked as we all were.

Comments about Taylor Big Baby Acoustic Guitar:

I was very nervous about buying a guitar without actually having played it, but after receiving this amazing guitar I am more than happy. The BBT has everything one could want from an acoustic guitar (for me) No frills just great tone, feel and smell , yes I said it smell :-) Why anyone would want any other just amazes me and the service I received from the Summerlin NV branch by telephone was more than good. Go try one is all I can say.

Great Guitar

Comments about Taylor Big Baby Acoustic Guitar:

I went looking for a guitar at Gc in Vegas. I was looking at a little Martin, but quit the demo right away. Didn't care for the sound..It sounded like a kids toy. I tried other guitars like Yamaha, other Martins. I was ready to leave when the Eric, the sales dude handed me the Taylor Big Baby....I fell in love . The sound is full both bass and treble side. Its 15/16 size does not hurt the sound. I am a 67 year old with arthritis in my hands so the action had to be right on...and it was. It plays and sounds excellent. Buy this , you will be amazed .

Made in Mexico...who cares!

By

from Atlanta GA

Comments about Taylor Big Baby Acoustic Guitar:

I don't usually write reviews unless the product or service is extremely poor or exceptional. I own two of these guitars, couldn't resist had to buy a second, At $400 these guitars are exceptional! The build quality, playability and tonal qualities are fabulous. They play and sound great. Made in Mexico...who cares! If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would. Make sure the guitar is properly set up. Chances are if you buy one out of the bag it will not be set up and you will be disappointed.

Great Guitar!!

By

from California

Comments about Taylor Big Baby Acoustic Guitar:

I just got this guitar yesterday and I am amazed. It is a great guitar. It plays very clean and has a cool look. If you compare this guitars size to a regular acoustic, you can barely tell its a tad smaller than a regular acoustic but it doesn't fell like it. I compared this guitar to the mini GS and thought the mini had a louder sound. But it's just too small because I am going to keep growing. Overall, this guitar is AWESOME!!!

Great Guitar, Great Price!

By

from Porter, Texas

Comments about Taylor Big Baby Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar about a year ago and it has always sound great! For a fairly small and slim body, the guitar gives great bass and bright sounds. The big baby Taylor is full of sound and can easily fill a room with sound. I played this guitar outside and did a couple of lead lines, everyone would hear my guitar over my friends Yamaha. The great sound comes from the bow in the back of the body. It forms a slight bow that really brings out the natural sound of the guitar. Great guitar, great sound, great price.

AWESOME

Comments about Taylor Big Baby Acoustic Guitar:

I got this guitar for christmas last year as my second guitar. (first real guitar). As i started playing i was blown away by the amazing sound. It has a well rounded sound. My dads 414 Taylor doesn't sound a ton better. The neck has an easy slide and the guitar rarely falls out of tune. The action is great. I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone!!!!!!

Never disappoints

By

from Kosciusko Ms

Comments about Taylor Big Baby Acoustic Guitar:

When I decided to teach myself to play I asked the advice of a friend who owned many guitars and would give be advice unbiased and based on my plans for the guitar. Without hesitation he said "Taylor-Big Baby" and listed a few reasons, one being a good low action so I would stick with it. I have been playing about eight years now and it is still my go to guitar for a lot of reasons. The action is nice making it very comfortable. The intonation amazes me even compared to guitars at a price five times the cost. I pull out my tuner every once in a while and still don't know why. The BB holds tune as good or better than any. When I bought the guitar the spruce top was that usual very light color that you see on most new spruce top guitars. After 8 years it has the color of a light roasted coffee and it's nothing I did, it just aged that way and with it came a tone that's even more impressive than I ever hoped for. The lows came out and the blend between high and low is awesome. People that come over and have been playing high end Taylors or other brands can't believe it. If you have trouble with low end sound when it's new experiment with strings. A phosphor bronze may not be what you want until it ages. A coated string may be your cup of tea. Just try a few. My BB will always be my reach for companion. If you're looking, stop. Play a few Big Baby guitars and let your ears pick it out. Buy it and start picking !!!!!
