Nice sound, difficult neck

By BH Jones

from maryland

Comments about Baby Taylor Mahogany Top Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this axe for variety in my home studio. When it's right it plays great and sounds sweet. The neck, goes out every few months and I have to have somebody straigten it out(the action gets high and the intonation goes out...then it plays again. This is NOT the rock solid Martin neck

Learned how to play on this guitar, 5 years later still perfect sound

By mothman5656

from Connecticut

Comments about Baby Taylor Mahogany Top Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I learned how to play guitar on the baby around 5 or 6 years ago, and has been put through alot of abuse but still looks and sounds perfect. Its extremeley durable and does not chip or dent easily. For such a small guitar it really puts out beautiful full sounding strums and picking. Whenever I travel, I travel with this guitar, they let me bring it on the plane as if it were a regular carry-on bag! I fully reccomend this guitar for both the beginner guitar player, and the travelling seasoned expert.

Good travel guitar, but fragile

By luke

from Lakeland, FL

Comments about Baby Taylor Mahogany Top Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

i've had my baby taylor for four to five years now, and its really a great travel guitar. BUT ITS FRAGILE!!! I have put alot of strings on it, but another problem: It buzzes. Alot. Especially if your playing power chords and such. But still a great tone, and a descent playability.

Nana's First Guitar

By Sheila

from NW Indiana

Comments about Baby Taylor Mahogany Top Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I am 50 years old on my next birthday, and have always wanted to learn to play guitar. I was often discouraged by the effort it took to reach and press on the strings to get a pleasing sound. Once I realized my struggle was largely due to the largeness of the instrument, I vowed I would try once again with a 3/4 guitar. The Baby Taylor is the perfect size for my 5'2" frame. Even though I'm not a player yet, I can tell you it produces a lovely sound. It may look like a toy in size, but it is a carefully and beautifully crafted instrument. The ear cannot discern it's petite size when that full tone fills the air. The quality of the Taylor does not end there, however. In addition to the well-made padded guitar case included are valuable information sheets about protecting the guitar from too much or too little humidity. That information is vital to a novice like me. Now, I can start learning those scales and chords. Wish me luck!

Comments about Baby Taylor Mahogany Top Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I love this guitar. It is beautiful and has a great finish. The sound is amazing and it tunes well.Even my guitar teacher thought it sounded great and he rocks on the guitar. I think it is worth it to purchase this guitar. I know a few other people who have this guitar and loved it too. It is great for beginners and all the way up to pros.

Great travel-sized guitar

By Rebecca

from Biloxi, MS

Comments about Baby Taylor Mahogany Top Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is a great buy! I played guitar for about 6 years and then stopped playing for several years. I got this guitar in 1999 and decided to pick it back up after 9 years of not playing it. My strings were rusty and it still sounded good. After getting new strings put on it, it sounds great! It has a great full-bodied tone. It's easy to play because of the smaller size.

Lots of Bang in a Small Box

By Ellison Wood

from San Francisco, CA

Comments about Baby Taylor Mahogany Top Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

The Baby Taylor, for what's it's meant to do, is a great guitar. Light, portable, solid construction, and above average sound. Definitely a great value and a great beginner/travel guitar. The biggest question is always going to be: how does this guitar sound? Answer: it sounds great. Of course, it is not going to compete with the deep bass and shining trebles of a full size Taylor, but it's more than enough for most players (plus, the thing looks great).
