The sleek lines of the Grand Auditorium body are accentuated by a softly rounded Venetian cutaway, complementing the 914CE acoustic electric guitar's shimmering appointments. Taylor's finest Brazilian rosewood, one of the rarest tonewoods on earth, and a Sitka spruce top deliver tone that has to be heard to be appreciated.
The Sitka spruce top enhances the Brazilian rosewood's extended tonal palette for a signature sound with strong bass, clear midrange, and ringing high frequencies. In keeping with Taylor's 900 Series accoutrements, a bone nut and saddle, gold Gotoh tuners, and the distinctive 900 Series fingerboard inlays decorate the 914ce-LTD.

I got the Taylor 914ce ltd for a christmas present, believe it or not, and I'm still in awe over it. The tone is crazy, and you can hear tones between the tones. I've got a big voice, and this guitar rings when I sing from a foot away. It feels great, even elegant, very high end. I've also got a Gibson that plays great, but it's not nearly as sweet as this Taylor. It's my first Taylor, and although I've played them in the past, I've never been particularly impressed with them, or any high end guitar for that matter, but this guitar stands out, and is sweet to play, and sweeter to hear. I've read reviews about problems with the Expression system, but I've not had any problems with mine, other than maybe the signal is a little low for me, but it may be I need to play through the system a little more. I posted a video of me playing the Taylor on Youtube. Search for Dave Nicar The song is "When love comes to Call" Not great quality vid, but I used the Taylor. Great guitar!
