The 810ce Acoustic-Electric Guitar is irresistible. The figured maple binding is a gorgeous upgrade that complements the beautiful hues of rosewood and the sparkling inlay work. The Indian Rosewood used for the back and sides of the 810ce guitar seems like it was created to be on a guitar with its clarity, balance, sustain, and excellent bass response. When paired with Sitka spruce, it is an unstoppable combination in this assertive dreadnought body style. Other features of this outstanding instrument include a bound neck, an Indian rosewood headstock overlay, 800 series fingerboard inlays, an abalone rosette and a Venetian cutaway.

Using propriety pick-up technology developed at Taylor, the expression system amplifies your guitar with an unrivaled natural live sound. On-board tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound

OUtstanding Guitar

By Will S.

from Eden Prairie, MN

Comments about Taylor 810ce Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have owned this guitar for a couple of months now and recorded with it as well as played live, and WOW- the highs are clear and bright and the lows are deep, full and warm. I went in to buy a new acoustic and purchased "with my ears" and this one really spoke to me. It's also a great looking instrument that I will be happy to hand down to my son who also plays someday.

Amazing Guitar

By Michael

from Minneapolis, MN

Comments about Taylor 810ce Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is an amazing musical instrument. While it is a beautiful looking guitar(clearly something that never hurts), it is a wonderful sounding instrument. The action is great, the tones are clean and the sound is deep and impressive. I bought this guitar a year ago based on sitting in a Guitar Center for a long time comparing guitars over and over again. I didn't go into the store with anything specific in mind other than a great sounding guitar. I walked out with a Taylor 810ce and I've been more than satified ever since. I play it every day and it just keeps getting better. Yes, it's not cheap. On the other hand, you only go through this trip once so pay a little more and enjoy the ride.

The Best I Ever Had

By Terry Waugh

from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

Comments about Taylor 810ce Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

After having a bad experience at another music store, I went into my local Guitar Center and sat down to play several guitars. After playing Gibsons, Martins and others I narrowed my choices to a 000 Clapton Signature and the Taylor 810CE. Both fantastic instruments but the Taylor seamed more comfortable, just as wonderful a tone and much easier to play. Low action, fast neck, all the traits Taylor's are known for are represented in this guitar. I play rhythm in a rock band and my sound isn't buried by the lead guitar (Fender Tele) or the keyboards. Amazing tone, volume and sustain amplified or unplugged. The best I ever had.

Perhaps the world's best sounding acoustic-electric

By Scott Bandy

from Maryland

Comments about Taylor 810ce Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have had my Taylor 810ce for a few years now and I have never played anything better. The even balanced tone is second to none. I own a few high end guitars but this one is my main stage axe and it never ceases to amaze. I had mine set up by one of the best techs out there. I would recommend always getting someone who is really good to set up any new acoustic. It's worth it for sure. My 810ce plays like butter and the tone is absolutely stunning. Everybody who has ever played it has said it was the nicest they ever played. I do close to 200 shows a year and this guitar goes on stage with me at every show. My other guitars don't come close. I have even been offered a lot more than I paid for my guitar. Granted, the one I have is pretty special. I'm sure they don't all play like mine but they could be close with the right tech and the right set up. This should be the best investment you'll ever make on an acoustic-electric. Truly an awesome instrument. I have played many high dollar guitars and own a few really nice ones but this one takes the cake. It simply out-plays any guitar I have ever played...period! And I have played guitars that cost three times what this one costs. I got a great deal on mine at GC and have never looked back. The rosewood really makes a difference. If you're considering a Taylor, I would definitely recommend one with rosewood back and sides and I would also recommend the dreadnaught version. The 810ce is simply louder and clearer than the 814ce and the like. Take it from a pro...the Taylor 810ce simply blows away any other guitar out any price point..PERIOD! If you're not a pro and don't want to spend this kind of money I'd go with a Martin Performing Artist series guitar or a Taylor 410ce but if you are serious about your music and your sound, this will be the last acoustic you'll ever need. Hope this review helps. Good luck in the quest for a guitar.
