Grand Concert (GC)
This shape defines intimacy in its size and sound. The GC is dynamically responsive to a lighter touch and is well-suited for fingerpicking. With clarity and balance, it' also perfect for miking and home recording.
Using proprietary pickup technology developed at Taylor, the Expression System amplifies your guitar with an unrivaled, natural live sound. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally-clean amplified sound. It' your tone. Amplified.
The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

Comments about Taylor 712e Rosewood/Spruce Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
This smaller body Taylor is much more comfortable to hold than my Auditorium size guitars and sounds almost as loud in my practice area. I was unable to find this model in stores and ordered to try out from MF. I knew at first play that it was a keeper. The tone actually sounded better than my 714CES so I restrung with new Elixers to get a better comparison. I think the 712 has a stronger base and more defined mid range but that is a very unscientific judgement. What I really can say is that this guitar has a beautiful voice of its' own and will not leave my collection. I can't imagine anyone being dissapointed with this guitar
