The Taylor 710CE-L9 Short Scale Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar gives you brilliant, focused sound with powerful bass. A Venetian cutaway provides access to the upper frets, which have been brought closer together thanks to a short-scale configuration. The result is unparalleled playability and an even richer tone, amplified flawlessly by the Expression System. The warm, responsive tone of Engelmann spruce enhances the rich, full overtones of Indian rosewood.
A traditional shape refined, the Taylor dreadnought combines classic dreadnought volume and bass response with the definitive Taylor sound: clear trebles and an open, airy midrange that Bob Taylor's signature design accentuates. A recent re-voicing turns up the bass and volume even more. Dreadnoughts respond especially well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming.
The perfectly-shaped mahogany neck is topped with an ebony fretboard that features abalone snowflake inlays. Indian rosewood binding and a Hawaiian koa soundhole rosette accent the body.
Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.
The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.
