The Taylor 410CE Limited-Edition Tasmanian Blackwood Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar is an outstanding instrument that is both beautiful and versatile. This special limited-edition model has the timbre of exotic honey-colored Tasmanian blackwood back and sides combined with the punch of a Sitka spruce top to create a rich tonal tapestry. Tasmanian blackwood is often compared to its better-known cousin, Hawaiian koa. It has a blend of midrange bloom and top-end brightness, with great dynamic range. This guitar is ideal for strumming or flatpicking and a Venetian cutaway gives you superior access to the rosewood fretboard.
Using proprietary pickup technology developed at Taylor the onboard Expression System incorporates three different magnetic sensors. Two strategically placed Dynamic Body Sensors affixed to the underside of the soundboard capture the complex nuances of the top's vibration, while a Dynamic String Sensor mounted beneath the fretboard extension registers string and neck vibration. The preamp boosts the pickup signal cleanly, without the need for artificial EQ "coloration". The balanced, low-impedance signal the Expression System produces can run direct into a mixer or PA in most situations, and is free of distortion at almost any volume. Three simple, unobtrusive onboard control knobs preserve the aesthetic beauty of your Taylor, yet allow you to easily adjust the volume, bass, and treble to suit your personal preferences and performance environment. This easy to use system enables all of the expressive subtleties of your playing to come through, just the way you intended.
The Taylor 410CE limited edition is dramatically accented with creamy maple binding, heelcap, and mini-wedge on the back; blackwood headstock overlay; an abalone rosette; and stylish mother-of-pearl diamond fretboard inlays. It has a lustrous gloss finished top, while the back and sides have a textured satin finish. The ultraviolet cured finish developed by Taylor is durable, resistant to cold-checking, and is more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes. Includes Taylor hardshell case.
