The all-solid Taylor experience continues with the updated 310ce-L Sapele/Spruce Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar. Crisp, black binding flanks the satin-finish sapele back and sides and glossy Sitka spruce top, and then continues up the fretboard. The 300 Series is truly the performer’s workhorse, combining technology and craftsmanship with understated style. A Venetian cutaway adds dimension to classic Dreadnought styling, while the tone of Sapele is faithfully amplified via the Taylor Expression System.
The warm tone and open midrange of sapele balances the bright and snappy characteristics of a Sitka spruce top. The resulting combination provides the perfect guitar for strong, rhythmic playing styles.
A traditional shape refined, we combine classic dreadnought volume and bass response with the definitive Taylor sound: clear trebles and an open, airy midrange that Bob Taylor's signature design accentuates. Dreadnoughts respond especially well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming.
Using proprietary pickup technology developed at Taylor, the Expression System amplifies your guitar with an unrivaled, natural live sound. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally-clean amplified sound. It’s your tone. Amplified.

Comments about Taylor 310ce-L Sapele/Spruce Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I don't have a long list of credentials that qualify me as an expert on instrument selection. I am, at best, intermediate in terms of skill. That being said, this purchase was my long awaited upgrade to a big boy guitar from my old Washburn. Ultimately I wanted something of high quality that would provide me a much easier (and enjoyable) playing experience as I expanded my skills. This guitar satisfies both of those criteria, and only begins to define why I love it. The action comes pretty low from factory which I love. Expressions electronics system seem to be quality (although I haven't used them yet). Finish of the guitar is beautiful. All that aside, what really impresses me about this guitar (and why most people choose one acoustic over another) is the tone. I would buy another Taylor in a second.....and actually have my eye on the DMB signature model. Maybe in another 5-10 years :)
