Body Shape
A Taylor original, the Grand Auditorium helped establish the Taylor acoustic sound. The popular body style makes for a versatile guitar that yields ample volume in response to light fingerpicking, and reacts to medium strumming and flatpicking with a clear, balanced sound across the tonal spectrum. If you want a great all-purpose guitar, the GA is an excellent choice.

Tone Wood Pairing
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. Mahogany is a hardwood that produces a natural compression, yielding more "roll-in" effect to a note. The compression evens out a lively attack for a more linear response. Mahogany tops deliver strong fundamentals with clear and direct focus. Tonally, blackwood behaves somewhere in the middle of rosewood and mahogany, with a little extra shimmer and chime that shows its family resemblance to koa. Pairing blackwood with the mahogany top not only gives you that roll-in effect associated with a mahogany top - really smooth attack and balance - but extra complexity as the note decays. It's a great combination.
Taylor's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in Taylor’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is Taylor’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before.

Together with Taylor’s custom-designed “professional audio”-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your Taylor guitar. The Taylor Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume, bass and treble controls.

What sets Taylor Guitars apart? Unmatched build quality, the most stable and playable necks, a vast array of tonal options, eco-conscious and ethically-sourced raw materials, and a lifetime of service and support.

Comments about Taylor 300 Series 324ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar has beaten everything else I've played. I approached buying a new guitar by trying to abandon any preconceived notions or generalities about guitar brands. I was looking for the best tone and playability above anything else (though price was still a considerable factor). I went to Guitar Center and other stores and played as many guitars as I could and I kept coming back to this 324ce-SEB. The tone that the solid mahogany top and solid Tasmanian blackwood back/sides produce is so warm, rich, and sweet. Taylor is often criticized for having too much focus on treble but this pairing of wood makes up for that. There is a beautiful lower end tone but with Taylor's GA body size and craftsmanship, this guitar is still very well balanced across the spectrum. When you play, you get a quick response with loud, yet crisp projection. I find that playing is very easy due to the thin neck profile and low action. Whether you are a flatpick strummer or a fingerpicker you will be pleased. I play live and this guitar behaves quite well in a mix. I've been extremely impressed with this guitar and it's 100% a keeper. Not only does it have a beautiful sound, but it is quite aesthetically pleasing with the shaded edge burst and the satin finish. You will not go wrong with this one.

Comments about Taylor 300 Series 324ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar sounds and feels as great as it looks. Warm full tone, but still bold and balanced. I play acoustic gigs for a living and I'm one of the pickiest people alive concerning an acoustic guitar . Taylor nailed it with this one. Highly recommended! The sounds great plugged in too, killer electronics.

Comments about Taylor 300 Series 324ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

First off I did not purchase the guitar from GC but from in January of 2016 when they first introduced this stunning wood combo. So I have spent an entire 18 months with this guitar and it is an absolute dream. It plays incredible intonantion and tuning are spot on the neck doesnt move around AT ALL I have made one truss adjustment and it never shifts. I play in drop Dgcfad and use elixer 80/20 nanoweb 11/52 custom lites.( I swear by elixer strings). I love the response to my picking technique whether finger style or plectrum its so responsive and the electronics are superb when plugged in. I hope this review inspires others to gonand give it a try I am in tonal heaven. Thank you taylor for making high quality/affordable guitars! :)
