An amateur's take on the 214...

By Brian Patterson

from Morgantown, WV

Comments about Taylor 214 Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I've been playing for a little over a year and upgraded from an Indiana Scout. Suffice to say, this is a huge step up. The natural matte finish is perfect and the construction is without flaw. It's truly a thing of beauty and source of great pride of ownership. I can't say enough about the quality of the build. The neck feels slightly wider than the Scout but it's also not as deep. I have large fingers so it's actually a plus. It's an easy play. The sound is far less "boomy" than my previous guitar. Great mids, crisp highs, and above average lows. Since I play for my own amusement, I'm not sure that I'll ever need another guitar. I'm not saying I'll never want another guitar. I doubt I'll ever play well enough to live up to this one.

Amazed

By Brent Bradford

from Plain City, Utah

Comments about Taylor 214 Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

Bought this guitar as a "road guitar" so I wouldn't beat up my Martin Dreadnaughts on pleasure trips. However, It is too good for that. I was amazed at the overall quality of the guitar and the sound. Well balanced with great mid-range and treble. Set up from the factory was Great! While this guitar would not cut it if hard strumming is your thing, it is a fingerpickers' delight! I even used it in the studio on a project in progress when it arrived. I was amazed at how well it recorded!

Excellent Guitar

By Eph320

Comments about Taylor 214 Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I purchased this taylor acoustic about 6 months ago. I use it as my primary instrument when leading music at my church. I love the tone, lightness and genuine acoustic sound that this guitar gives. It is a better guitar than it's price ,and I would encourage any acoustic player to give it a try.

Taylor 214 Acoustic

By Dan McBain

from Dallas, GA

Comments about Taylor 214 Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I purchased the Taylor 214 about two months ago. I've been playing for about 16 years now, and this is by far my favorite guitar. It plays like a high quality instrument, without the $1000+ price tag. I would recommend anyone to pick it up and give it a try before purchasing anything else.
