Take Time to Try A Taylor!

By RevKevBo

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

Just bought a Taylor 214ce today in Cincy. Tried several other guitars but wasn't quite impressed until the sales mgr, suggested this guitar. What an amazing balanced sound! I am pleased with every aspect of this guitar. The construction is impeccable and very light. I had been a big Ovation fan for over 30 years, but now I have converted completely. Hey, take a serious look at this guitar that won't break the bank. It will play many styles of music and give you that "fill the room" sound we all like. Tried recording some tonight. Oh my! very clean and no need for extra eq or effects: It's already perfect! Thanks for the best acoustic/electric I've owned. You guys are tops!

Awesome Deal!

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

Just got this as a Christmas present and let me just say i'm blown away. Taylor has created a wonderful acoustic electric that wont break the bank. I spent a lot of time looking at taylors before i settled on this one. i chose it because of the price but i am very satisfied. if you're buying a taylor chances are you're looking for that unmistakably taylor sound. this guitar is a great representation of that. the important thing to remember when looking at this guitar is that it does not have the full expression system which is sad but contributes to the price. if it fits your budget i would def. recommend this guitar but if you have the money it would be worth going with the 314 or higher because they have the full expression system and solid wood all the way around instead of laminate sides and back like the 214.

Amazing guitar, Amazing price!

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

This guitar is truly great. Plays like ones that are 3 times the price. Electronics are extremely simple and when not plugged in, it is surprisingly loud and very crisp sounding. Usually need to take new guitars to the shop because the action is to high, but not with this one. Comes set very low with no buzz. Worth every penny!

Beautiful Guitar

By JarenSauer

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I bought this guitar back in August and I'm glad I did. I've always been a fan of Gibson guitars, but when one of my friends got this guitar, I had to have one of my own! It's so light and it fits comfortably. The price is very reasonable too. Especially for the quality of sound this guitar produces. I've played some acoustics whose prices are jacked way up, but this Taylor blows all of them out of the water. It sound is so full! It's not muffled, it doesn't ring and it doesn't sound cheap at all. I love this guitar! If you are looking for a good quality acoustic for a reasonable price, then by all means CHECK THIS ONE OUT!!!

Awesome Guitar

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I've been playing for 12 years now and teaching for 6, and I recommend this guitar to every single one of my students. While it's a pretty cheap buy it plays like my 314 and is just about the best deal out there. If you're thinking about getting a nice acoustic definitely consider this one.

Amazing!

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

Went this weekend to Guitar Center in Dallas, Tx on a mission to find a nice acoustic guitar. Played a varieties of acoustics and acoustic/electrics. I have never played a Taylor but decided to pick one up and try it just because Dave Matthews plays them and holy christ I was blown away. I played hi end Martin's including Eric Claptons Sig Series. Gibson J-45's, Breedloves and the rest of the big names. None of these guitars gave me the sound that comes out of the 214ce. The volume and clarity of this guitar was amazing. Plus, the woods are beautiful and electronics are simple and great. If you are ever going to buy a new acoustic, play everything they have that they will let you play. Then, play one of these. You will see what I am talking about. A taylor acoustic never crossed my mind, but I will always recommend this brand and stray true to them. Unbelievable.

Full Balance tone that defeats Gibson and Martin!!

By Danejazone

from Vallejo, Ca

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

If you are thinking of updating your Acoustic guitar get the 214ce. Before I bought the 214ce I considered other high-end guitars. Spend sometime on the the Gibson J-45 but was lacking of mid range tone and it was surprisingly muffled compared to the 214ce. I went to Martin, which is my second choice and honestly? It was very close to the Taylor 214ce in terms of the sound quality. The tone coming from the 214ce really stands out(literally, because other customers would give me that look when I was ringing it) In the end, I finally came into a conclusion that Taylor 214ce is the guitar for me. From the sound, from the quality of the instrument that will last a lifetime. Taylor quality ROCKS!!

Love the sound

By Mark Baker

from Phoenix, AZ

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I'm returning to the guitar after many years not playing so I consider myself a beginner, but I still have a good ear. I honestly thought Taylor was mostly hype - until I listened to my daughter play this one along with seven other popular guitars in the same price range. The 214ce's sound stood out as the clearest and richest of the group. Playing it, the action was perfect for me and the neck felt good in my hand. Everyone has different tastes, of course, so try it for yourself; but for me, choosing among those eight guitars was absolutely a no-brainer.

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

I've played guitar for almost 50 years. I sat in the store for over two hours playing all the major brands: Taylor, Martin, Breedlove, etc. I purchased this guitar and literally cannot put it down. The tone high on the neck is unbelievable. Easy to play and very impressed with the quality.

Mmmm, it may be love...

By T James

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 214CE Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (2010 Model):

So I decided to get back in to the guitar-playing scene after 20 years away, but just for a hobby. In my sordid youth I played only Martin and Guild. So, I wanted something nice: decent action, tone, overall quality. I pained for months, literally, over what to buy. These days I could afford dang near any guitar I truly wanted, but I've also got a very conservative streak that leaves me feeling guilty when I spend too much $$$ on something unnecessary. I've been to Guitar Center like 15 times in the last 3 months playing about everything they carry in the acoustic room. I was going to get the 114ce, but I wanted a hardshell case which was going to be a $150 addon. But last weekend the 15% off coupon allowed me to buy the 214 which comes with the case for about the same price overall. The 214 has nice action, decent tone, and an overall feel of quality. Granted, the 114 is similar. The 314 has a slightly richer tone in the mid-range, but for another $500 (doesn't matter much if you run amped and have eq).
