Overview

Taylor's 200 Deluxe Series delivers all the essentials of a great guitar - exquisite playability, a full and articulate voice, impeccable intonation up the neck, and Taylor's top-of-the-line, professional-grade pickup - at a price that's within reach of many.

This collection strikes a sweet balance between tasteful design constraint and aesthetic variety, bringing Taylor's signature tonal clarity and playability into a stage-worthy mix of guitar options. The Deluxe moniker refers to the addition of a fully-glossed body as opposed to a glossy top with satin back and sides. In addition, all 200 Deluxe Series guitars ship in a hardshell case made by Taylor for optimal fit and protection.

Body Shape
The Dreadnought is one of the most traditional acoustic guitar shapes. Taylor's version has been refined to blend its trademark robust low-end tone with a snappy midrange and brilliant treble notes, producing a pleasing balance of power and articulation. If you're a flatpicker or strummer who likes to dig in on lead or rhythm, the Dreadnought should serve you well.

Tonewoods
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. Sitka Spruce is the most prevalent guitar top wood of the modern era. It blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions which translates into broad dynamic range with crisp articulation.

Layered rosewood back and sides create a sturdy and complementary platform for the vibrating string energy sent by the guitar's top. Layered wood is less susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity, making it an excellent choice for players who travel with their instruments or simply require more durability.

What sets Taylor Guitars apart? Unmatched build quality, the most stable and playable necks, a vast array of tonal options, eco-conscious and ethically-sourced raw materials, and a lifetime of service and support.

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 210 Deluxe Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I wanted a good guitar, without spending too much. I researched guitars under $500 and under $1,000.
Narrowed list to 3 brands. Two of my professional friends use Taylors. Both recommended the 210 Deluxe without hesitation. I have played bass for almost 20 years and felt an acoustic guitar was in the cards for a nice challenge, since I haven't played one since high school days.
Taylor 210 DLX is well made, has beautiful woodwork, and sounds and plays great!

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 210 Deluxe Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I had one of these. I ended up trading it in for a 110. I couldn't really find much good tone in it. It's a very good looking guitar for the money but I want sound over looks. The laminate back really holds this one back I think. Maybe I just didn't get a "good one". But it's a Taylor and it's supposed to be good. If you ever try one of these at GC you should take it outside the acoustic room and see how it sounds out there. Please compare it to a 110 and 114 before you make your choice.

Comments about Taylor 200 Series 210 Deluxe Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Don't be afraid of laminates here. This guitar is every bit a beauty as my solid rosewood Breedlove. The sound is bright and consistent. A pleasure to play. Plenty loud for finger or flat picking. The neck feels great and one really has to look for the neck joints. The grain of the wood pieces are blended well.
I cannot find anything to complain about. Well made, excellent sound, outstanding feel, superior looks and a premium hard case included in the price. Make a GC coupon work for you in the store And you got a smoking deal on a great instrument!
