The Taylor 114 Sapele/Spruce Grand Auditorium Acoustic Guitar will change your expectations about what a serious entry-level instrument can embody. Featuring a solid Sitka spruce top and laminated sapele back and sides. The 114 has the signature Taylor guitar look, tone, and feel—in an affordable package.
As a guitar soundboard, or top, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era. It’s used on 85-90 percent of the guitars that Taylor makes. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from aggressive strumming and flatpicking to fingerpicking. Sitka spruce is Bob Taylor’s personal favorite for an all-around great guitar.
Grand Auditorium (GA)
The GA is Taylor’s most versatile and popular shape, excelling at light-touch fingerstyle to full-blown strumming. Great for mic’ing and recording, the GA’s balanced mid-range and bright tone exemplify the Taylor voice.
Includes gig bag.

I've had an Alvarez for 30yrs and decided I was ready for a new guitar. I wanted one for $600.00-$800.00 and this one is it! very nice feel on the neck, beautiful tone. I'm a Taylor player for life!
A noticeable step down from the slightly pricier taylors and martins. Loses a lot of sound quality and feels very cheap on neck and fretboard compared to the step up. Not the easiest guitar to play either. Only 3 knobs unlabeled. So not great control when plugged in. expected more.
I recently decided to start playing again after several years of letting my guitar collect dust. Well I decided I needed something new with a better sound. I played several and this had the sound I liked. Great for the arpeggio style I play and the sound is above board. The action is smooth and fast. I was considering a Gibson or Martin but this low end Taylor blew the socks of the other two. I am a Taylor convert for sure. It's made my guitar playing hobby fun and exciting again. I highly recommend this guitar.
Just got home with this and I love it. The sound is superb for what I need. Just a little pickin on the patio. Not a buzz or a hum in it. I am a middle aged intermediate player so this is most likely my last guitar purchase and I couldn't have made a better choice. Highly recommended for any level of player.
I just got this guitar yesterday and i must say its fantastic, i love the sound and the price. I traded in eight of my older guitars(three acoustic, rest being electric) and an amp. And it was well worth it. I highly recommend!
