Tone and playability are hallmarks of Taylor guitars, and you'll find the 100 Series delivers plenty of each. The 2012 110ce Sapele/Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar has a solid sitka spruce top and sapele laminate back and sides. It also features a Venetian cutaway that helps with the upper range while the ES-T pickup primes you for plugging in.

As a guitar soundboard, or top, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era. It's used on 85-90 percent of the guitars that Taylor makes. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from aggressive strumming and flatpicking to fingerpicking. Sitka spruce is Bob Taylor's personal favorite for an all-around great guitar.

Dreadnought (DN)
The Taylor dreadnought is a focused guitar with plenty of presence, recently redesigned to be even more assertive. It's the traditional choice for the traditional player; the model to drive with a heavy pick.

Taylor ES-T
Devloped by the same Taylor team that invented the Expression System pickup, the Taylor ES-T Under-Saddle Transducer takes piezo technology to another level. Optimized for the 100 and 200 Series, the system features onboard Bass, Treble, and Volume controls plus custom-voiced EQ and dynamic response.

bad set up. hard to play

By Ronald

from silverdale,washington

This is the second guitar I have received in the past 30 days. The 1st guitar the strings were so stiff and the action was so.high I couldn't play it. I sent it back and got a replacement today. Same problem action is 5/16 of an inch at the 12th fret.I took it down to a Luther that has worked on these and spend $60 bucks to make it playable. The GC guy at customer service was great though

Best Guitar for the Price!

By Leonardo Garcia

from College Station, TX

I was looking to buy a new acoustic and tried some seagulls, takamines, and breedloves around the same price and even some were $300 more than this Taylor, but it out shined them all. From the first strum I could feel and hear the difference. This is definitely the guitar to get if your looking in this price range.

I just bought this guitar, been playing for a lot of years and this is the best sounding guitar I have ever own. The sound is out of this world. I think I'm a Taylor man from now on. Don't know what else to say, you won't be disappointed if you buy it. One more time, the sound is incredible.

Fantastic Guitar

from Orlando, FL

I played many comperable guitars and decided on the 110CE for both playability and sound. This guitar is amazing. After picking it up, I played a set at church the following day and the sound difference was huge. This guitar is easily one of the best sounding guitars that I have ever played and the price made it an easy decision. Great job by the Taylor crew on this one. I wish I could give it ten stars!
