Overview

Taylor's 100 Series makes a great guitar-playing experience accessible to everyone with these real wood instruments. For people taking the first or next step in their musical journey, these instruments promise to accelerate players' growth and enhance their enjoyment. Taylor's famous neck profile combined with a 1-11/16-inch nut width make it easy for developing players to form barre chords. All 100 Series models include a durable, 600-denier nylon gig bag with double-stitched seams and reinforced stress points, built by Taylor for an optimal fit.

Body Shape
The Dreadnought is one of the most traditional acoustic guitar shapes. Taylor's version has been refined to blend its trademark robust low-end tone with a snappy midrange and brilliant treble notes, producing a pleasing balance of power and articulation. If you're a flatpicker or strummer who likes to dig in on lead or rhythm, the Dreadnought should serve you well.

Tone Woods
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. Sitka Spruce is the most prevalent guitar top wood of the modern era. It blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions which translates into broad dynamic range with crisp articulation. Layered Sapele back and sides create a sturdy yet receptive platform for the vibrating string energy sent by the guitar's top. Layered wood is less susceptibleto changes in temperature and humidity, making it an excellent choice for players who travel with their instruments or simply require more durability.

Electronics
Taylor's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in Taylor’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is Taylor’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before.

Together with Taylor’s custom-designed “professional audio”-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your Taylor guitar. The Taylor Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume, bass and treble controls.

Other Features
Taylor is famous for its 12-string guitars due to their ease-of-play, their stability, their intonation and their overall tone. Taylor's slim neck profile and New Technology ("NT") neck system allow precise and low action, resulting in the most comfortable "handfeel" found in a 12-string. The Taylor 150e is Taylor's most affordable 12-string to date, and the same attributes that make a high-end Taylor 12-string great are found on the 150e.

What sets Taylor Guitars apart? Unmatched build quality, the most stable and playable necks, a vast array of tonal options, eco-conscious and ethically-sourced raw materials, and a lifetime of service and support.

Comments about Taylor 100 Series 150e Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is a real nice guitar. The only nicer sounding and playing 12 string at GC was the $4,500 koa Taylor. This is so close to that one, and in my price range, so it was the perfect choice. So easy to play that I used it at worship service a week later. I recieved lots of positive comments after the service how nice "I" sounded. The intonation is perfect. Granted, I will only play some songs on it. Think of it like dessert.

Comments about Taylor 100 Series 150e Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is my third Taylor guitar. The neck is surprisingly slim and the action so easy that you don't realize you are playing a 12-string, yet the sound is lush and even the bass strings come through for a truly balanced sound.

Comments about Taylor 100 Series 150e Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Added this to supplement my Taylor 6 string. I had read how good this was but really impressed with the playability, and the clean , full sound is amazing. The action is really good allowing for a smooth transition from 6 string. Not a fat neck like some 12 strings. Looking forward to many enjoyable years with this guitar!highly recommended.

Comments about Taylor 100 Series 150e Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is not my first Taylor, but my first Taylor 12 string. Great action, easy to play. Taylor's electronics (you need to buy a Taylor TRS-XLR style cord) plugged into a quality acoustic guitar amp gives the cleanest, most natural sound I have ever heard. This model has a plain jane finish, but no one listening to you will notice the finish, just the clear sound. You will not regret this purchase.
