Overview

The Taylor 100 Series 110e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar gives you crisp, sweet tone with great visual appeal from an ebony fretboard and detailed finish. Refined traditional guitar shape and scalloped X-bracing accentuate the open, airy midrange you expect from a Taylor. Responds especially well to flatpicking and heavy strumming.

Tonewood
As a guitar soundboard, or top, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era. It's used on 85-90 percent of the guitars that Taylor makes. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from aggressive strumming and flatpicking to fingerpicking. Sitka spruce is Bob Taylor's personal favorite for an all-around great guitar.

Dreadnought (DN)
The Taylor dreadnought is a focused guitar with plenty of presence, recently redesigned to be even more assertive. It's the traditional choice for the traditional player; the model to drive with a heavy pick.

ES-T Under-Saddle Transducer
The ES-T is a single-source, under-saddle transducer with individual elements for each string. It features an onboard preamp and the same active controls found on the full ES. Featuring a custom-voiced EQ and dynamic response, the system is powered by a 9-volt battery, with a battery life LED power indicator (which is lit when the battery is being used). The pickup also has a Phase switch for feedback control, which is located on the preamp board inside the soundhole.

Could Afford MUCH more expensive but bought this

About Me Professional Musician

Comments about Taylor 100 Series 110e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have one 110e and one 214ce. I could afford a custom 5,000 dollar acoustic easily, but why? Theres no sense. This guitar is a workhorse. Stays in tune, super easy to play, feels great, electronics are amazing, very seldom need truss rod adjustments, maybe once a year just to keep it the exact way I like it. Booming lows, screaming highs, that blend in the middle for perfect harmony. Also a great lead guitar. Some don't like dreads for solo, but once you get this "tuned in" it feels perfect in your hands and soloing is no problem, actually soloing on a dread sounds great!!! Buy it, take care of it, humidify it, keep it in its case, have it PROFESSIONALLY set up once or twice a year, and it'll last a lifetime.

Comments about Taylor 100 Series 110e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I paid just a bit over $600 for this guitar and in my opinion the highs and the lows, the richness of the sound is hard to match with others at twice the price! I can't put it down.... It's fun to play and yes I did have the action lowered but all and all you can't go wrong with a 101E

Comments about Taylor 100 Series 110e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar has a great sound and feel. And you can't beat the price. I commend Taylor for making an instrument that sounds like a guitar that you would expect to pay $2000+ for. It's a great choice for the average guy like me that can't afford to spend thousands for a guitar. Thanks Taylor!! Keep up the good work.

Love the quality. Just check out what detail goes into making these Taylor guitars. I have played a Gibson for years and tried this little Taylor out.. Just love it!!! I actually like playing it more than the Gibson and I would never believe that could happen.. Excellent sound and nice fret board size. Sweet Guitar!!

Comments about Taylor 100 Series 110e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

You honestly can't get any better for this price range. The neck and the fret board have your hands feeling like they're flying. The sound is extremely crisp, loud, and attractive. The way it feels and how it plays is just extremely comfortable. Try it out for yourself. You'll fall in love.

Comments about Taylor 100 Series 110e Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I got my 110e a few years ago for christmas and it was my first nice guitar. i went to guitar center and played a lot of guitars but i just liked the feel and sound of this one for the money the best. i play gigs and church and i always go back to this guitar. Its very trustworthy and always ready to go. It sounds better and better everyday. every time i go to write a song i always try new things and come up with my progressions on this guitar because it is very comfortable to play for me.
