Solidbody performance with Taylor acoustic tone.

The T5 with a select figured maple top, intricate abalone fretboard inlays, and gold hardware.

A resonant, fully hollow thinline body is the backbone of the T5. Its comfort and playability is unquestionable, with the performance freedom of a solidbody and the feel and sound of a beloved Taylor acoustic. Whether played through an electric or acoustic amp, it delivers a fantastic range of pure tones from smooth, strumming acoustic to crunchy electric chords.

Electronics include a unique 5-way pickup system composed of a magnetic acoustic humbucker, magnetic electric humbucker, and a single Dynamic Body Sensor soundboard pickup, as well as a preamp system for mixing up the exact tone you need. Full binding, bone nut and saddle, stylized F-holes, a mahogany neck, sapele body, and an ebony fretboard and headstock overlay are standard.

Taylor T5 is a work of art

My wife and friends all pitched into buy me this guitar for completing my bachelor?s degree. If I had known this was the reward at the end of my studies, I would have finished sooner. I played with this guitar at the store and fell in love. The T5 action, weight, size, tone, and versatility are prefect. The quality of the Taylor is apparent from its construction, its feel and the amazing finish. It looks as good as it sounds. I doubt I will ever be able to afford another high-end guitar, if not I will still die happy, this one is the stuff dreams are made of.

Taylor nails it

I was skeptical after trying many shallow and semi hollowbodies. Most of them sound tinny and usually have quality issues, This guitar rocks. Iy is beautiful and intelligend, What more could you ask for. A slide 5 way gives you a plethora of sounds to choose from. I currently own this and the only way anyone will get from me is to pry it from my cold dead hands.

wow...

The Taylor T5 offers the ease of playing an electric guitar, while giving a warm, rich tone that would normally only come from a full body acoustic. This guitar in my opinion is a wonderful guitar, and is completely worth the cost.

Amazing, Purely Amazing

When I saw this guitar at first, I just knew I had to pick it up. When I did, I was blown out of the water on how it sounded. It has such a nice and light sound to it. It sounds amazing when hooked up to an amp. Its worth every penny.
