An acoustic 12-string with the perfect combination of tone woods for strong, rhythmic playing styles.
The Grand Auditorium has been the mainstay of Taylor's acoustic-electric line for years. Now they’ve taken this shape and applied a purely acoustic design, resulting in an entirely new guitar, yet one that feels as if you’ve known it forever.
The 12-string is part of acoustic guitar lore, and a major part of Taylor history. The Sapele/Sitka Grand Auditorium 12-String is a contemporary take on the tradition: full 12-string tone yet with a more slender, hour glass Grand Auditorium shape.
Sapele/Sitka
The warm tone and open midrange of sapele balances the bright and snappy characteristics of a Sitka spruce top. The resulting combination provides the perfect guitar for strong, rhythmic playing styles.
Grand Auditorium (GA)
The GA is Taylor’s most versatile and popular shape, excelling at light-touch fingerstyle to full-blown strumming. Great for mic’ing and recording, the GA’s balanced mid-range and bright tone exemplify the Taylor voice.
Gloss Top/Satin Back & Sides
The finish used to create this guitar's textured satin back and sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.
