Nice...but....

This is a cool looking stand. And if you love Taylor guitars like i do and want the official thing, then there ya go... my 814-ce fits like a glove and there in an extra notch so you could stick an electric on this if you wanted, like i'll put my t5 (awesome) on there and it's fine, but this really is just an acoustic guitar stand. It's beautiful addition to my recording studio. I have three taylors and thus three of these stands. They are pricy.. but so is everything "Taylor Made"...

Taylor Guitar Stand

If you are a woodworker or know one, it is cheaper to make it yourself. Red Oak or Maple is a good (cheaper) choice for the wood. The rubber pads can be bought at any woodworker supply house. Do you really need the "T" logo? Still, the original stand is a little pricey.

Awesome if you can afford it

This really is a nice guitar stand. But only if you're showing off. My uncle who somewhat collects guitars keeps some of his acoustics on these and they look really nice. However, if you're only looking for something to hold your guitar, don't spend this much money. Great for display though. Also, I prefer the maple - but that's just opinion.

I would think for the cost you would get a stand that would have no marks in the wood. Mine had one imperfection, fortunately it's in a hard to find spot. Thus it doesn't show unless you go looking ofr it. I guess the taylor logo is what makes it cost more. Good stand that looks great with my instrument on it. Wasn't sure how the logos were to face since it doesn't come with instructions. But I wanted a really good dressy stand and this was what I could find in wooden stands. Everything else is pipe or plastic. I wanted wood.

Pretty...but expensive

This Taylor Sapele Mahogany guitar stand is the best looking guitar stand i have ever seen. it will impressive your friends, family, and colleagues. It'll definitely hold your guitar, and will add a special touch to your room. Taylor makes nothing but quality. This stand however is a whopping 70 dollars, and this is a change from a just as efficient 30 dollar stand. this will blend into any environment, and be a worthy stand for any acoustic.
