Taylor Koa Series K66ce Grand Symphony 12-String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar (516489)
Availability:

This all Koa 12-string is a visual feast with a sound to behold.

The Taylor K66ce Grand Symphony is a cutaway 12-String acoustic-electric guitar that has a truly stunning look with a solid koa top, back and sides. The visual allure of the koa is complemented with shimmering abalone trim around the top and soundhole, while figured maple binds the body, fingerboard, soundhole and peghead, and caps the heel. The Taylor K66ce 12-String has sweet tone, orchestra power and is performance-ready, with a Venetian cutaway and Taylor's Expression System electronics.

Though you might see similarities to a Grand Auditorium, the Taylor Grand Symphony guitar is unique in both sound and shape. Significant changes in its geometry yield a deeper more piano-like bass. A wider lower bout and higher, wider waist return ample volume and low-end sustain in symphony with fuller mids and balanced highs.

Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Taylor Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.

The finish used to create this Taylor 12-string guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

beautiful, thats the only word i can say about it, the Koa is of the highest quality. The feel is just so effortless . You can really get down to the higher frets .It sounds like angels singing and its the perfect guitar to the rocker and country man. though i'm more of a Les Paul and martin man my self, I just rave about this guitar, though i'm not so happy about the price but I got way more than I expected

Got a fantastic deal through Guitar Center, Brian Neely. I have never owned or understood why someone would pay so much for a guitar. My Taylor has answered all my questions. In comparison the Taylor is like a Cadillac or Lincoln compared to a striped down version of a Ford Escort. I've played them all, Gibson, Epiphone, Washburn, Alverez, Ibaneze, etc. but the only guitar that comes close to a Taylor is Martin....and I would still prefer my Taylor. Bob Taylor's people have created the 'perfect' guitar!!

In my opinion this is an amazing instrument! Visually, I think it's the finest looking guitar I've ever seen. As far as the sound goes, I don't think you'll find a better sounding 12 string acoustic anywhere. I own many top end guitars, including two 914ce's and have been playing for a long time, and I couldn't be more pleased with this guitar. It's pricey but worth every penny!
