Sweet warmth and sultry beauty.

The rounded warm tones of the solid Western red cedar top on this Taylor GS Series Rosewood/Cedar Top Acoustic Guitar are given gentle definition by the solid Indian rosewood back and sides, which happen to be breathtakingly beautiful. Likewise the inky bound ebony fretboard with abalone microdots, the iridescent abalone rosette, and the gold-plated Taylor tuning machines. The unique Grand Symphony body style was designed to produce lots of volume and deeper bass response than other Taylor designs while having well-balanced highs and a narrow waist for comfort.

Bob Taylor personally designed the Grand Symphony body style for a unique sound. A higher, wider waist and a rounder lower bout result in distinctive tone with deep piano-like bass, rich mids, and clear, balanced highs-all with plenty of volume.

Sexy Has Never Sounded Better

My entire musical life has been spent adoring Martin guitars. I had never owned a Taylor guitar. I always found them to be quirky, light, and in a way, cheap. The bolt on neck was a novelty item. That all changed in June '06. While picking up some new strings, I heard what I thought was a beautiful Martin low note. To my amazement, I saw that it was the Taylor GS. Needing to feed my curiosity, I played it, then without thinking, I had purchased it. I've never been happier with a new guitar. Of course it does stick out like a sore (yet graceful and beautiful) thumb amongst all of the Martins. It sings just as, if not more so, prettier than they do.
