  • The Best

You get what you pay for. This Taylor is worth the money. I've played them all. Spent 15 years as a die hard Ovation and Adamas fan....than wanted to make the conversion to an all wood guitar. I spent hundreds of hours researching guitars and finally landed on the 914ce. Is it worth the $ ? Yes. Compared to the 814ce, it is more than just added bling. There is a sound difference. The extra appointments make a difference. The neck and action is as smooth as silk. Place this guitar side by side with a $4K Martin or Gibson and the Taylor really shines. My search is over. This is a lifetime instrument.

  • Awesome!

I have a 914 limited with brazilian upgrade on the back and sides. This is by far the best sounding acoustic i've ever played. The brazilian upgrade is worth every penny. Nothing, and I mean nothing, sounds like brazilian rosewood. Every note and chord has the 3d texture I've always admired in brazilian guitars. The neck is a classic Taylor, which is super friendly to electric players. The fit and finish is perfect, the frets are perfectly dressed as is the factory set up. The tuners are Taylors and work great. Take precautions with your acoustic and watch the humidity carefully. I would also keep her in her case at all times when not in use. The ES system is a fantastic amplified tone. I just could not find or ask for a nicer acoustic. Great Job, Taylor!

  • As Good As It Gets

The only thing you can fault this guitar for is its expense is that it doesn't cost $100 bucks. I assure you, even though you're talking about a lot of money, THIS GUITAR IS WORTH IT! I played everything you could imagine from high end Guild's to Larrivee's and even Collings's comparable instruments which of course were more expensive. When it was all said and done I just liked the particular 914-CE that I ended up buying the best, and really it wasn't a hard decision for me. That is not to say I didn't really like the other guitars, but I just love my Taylor. I have 4 other acoustics and outside of coming across a winning lotto ticket where I could spring for like a James Goodall or a specialty piece like that, I will be hard pressed to ever buy anything else but a Taylor. The Taylor 914-CE is simply a fantastic guitar, and I feel lucky to own one.
