A gift from God.

The Taylor 814ce is the best sounding guitar I've ever heard in my life. It sounds and plays so well its like an addiction. For the best sound quality for plugging into a sound system i would suggest the Fishman Loudbox series of acoustic amps. With that there is no better sounding guitar. Buy one... its worth every penny.

Banishes Buyer's Remorse!

Its wierd but its true, when you play it, you just want to play it more! You can't just pick it up for 5 minutes and put it down! I can't stop playing until my hand starts to overheat. The action is fantastic and the tone is really stunning! Everything about this guitar feels "right" It is expensive, but you DO get what you pay for. I played the 914CE as well, and, frankly, to me it just seemed like more glitz but no more performance. It makes you want to be a better guitar player so that you can "catch up" to the guitar!

Worth every penny and then some.

Outstanding sound, crisp, clear notes and it?s extremely easy to play. The sound doesn?t change after you plug it in, in fact it seems to be better. With the Taylor Expression system the sound is maintained whether playing soft or hard. It is the most technologically advanced system I?ve seen and the sound proves it. I?ve used it for some recording, but mainly at parties and small shows.

Go Ahead and Buy One!

I have owned a Taylor 814-CE for about a year now. I have played many high-end guitars and BY FAR the Taylor brand stands tall. The new pickup system is great. A direct box is never needed again with the balanced output coming from the guitar. Taylor gives you the correct cable to use. I found out in my playing and gigging the guitar is easy to dial up a great sound with the Expression System! If you want to have the best guitar made, buy a Taylor!

Taylor's Greatest Guitar

This 814ce Taylor guitar has an awesome sound. It has a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. It is bold and full, and has more bass response than a lot of Taylor's. But the bass response is certainly not overwhelming. The projection is fantastic. There really isn't anything I dislike about this guitar, which is unusual because I'm picky. I play mostly christian music, and find this guitar very suitable. The action on the guitar was set up well. It could be a bit lower, but it's still not difficult to play. There are no flaws on the guitar that I can see. There are also no flaws in the finish. This is a guitar I can depend on without a backup, and one that should last a long time. Customer support is also good. While I have dealt with Taylor on this guitar,I did with another and found them very responsive. They took care of it properly, though it took a couple of months to get the guitar back. If I ever had to, I would replace this guitar if I could come up with the money.
