An icon of the Taylor line.

The 810ce Acoustic-Electric Guitar is irresistible. The figured maple binding is a gorgeous upgrade that complements the beautiful hues of rosewood and the sparkling inlay work. The Indian Rosewood used for the back and sides of the 810ce guitar seems like it was created to be on a guitar with its clarity, balance, sustain, and excellent bass response. When paired with Sitka spruce, it is an unstoppable combination in this assertive dreadnought body style. Other features of this outstanding instrument include a bound neck, an Indian rosewood headstock overlay, 800 series fingerboard inlays, an abalone rosette and a Venetian cutaway.

Using propriety pick-up technology developed at Taylor, the expression system amplifies your guitar with an unrivaled natural live sound. On-board tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound

  • Amazing Guitar

As reviewed by Michael on 2/26/2010

This is an amazing musical instrument. While it is a beautiful looking guitar(clearly something that never hurts), it is a wonderful sounding instrument. The action is great, the tones are clean and the sound is deep and impressive. I bought this guitar a year ago based on sitting in a Guitar Center for a long time comparing guitars over and over again. I didn't go into the store with anything specific in mind other than a great sounding guitar. I walked out with a Taylor 810ce and I've been more than satified ever since. I play it every day and it just keeps getting better. Yes, it's not cheap. On the other hand, you only go through this trip once so pay a little more and enjoy the ride.

  • The Best I Ever Had

As reviewed by Terry Waugh on 12/19/2010

After having a bad experience at another music store, I went into my local Guitar Center and sat down to play several guitars. After playing Gibsons, Martins and others I narrowed my choices to a 000 Clapton Signature and the Taylor 810CE. Both fantastic instruments but the Taylor seamed more comfortable, just as wonderful a tone and much easier to play. Low action, fast neck, all the traits Taylor's are known for are represented in this guitar. I play rhythm in a rock band and my sound isn't buried by the lead guitar (Fender Tele) or the keyboards. Amazing tone, volume and sustain amplified or unplugged. The best I ever had.

  • OUtstanding Guitar

As reviewed by Will S. on 8/29/2008

I have owned this guitar for a couple of months now and recorded with it as well as played live, and WOW- the highs are clear and bright and the lows are deep, full and warm. I went in to buy a new acoustic and purchased "with my ears" and this one really spoke to me. It's also a great looking instrument that I will be happy to hand down to my son who also plays someday.
