The brilliant tone and appearance of a first-rate maple body.

The bold sounds of big leaf maple and Sitka spruce are enhanced by the Grand Auditorium body design. Together the woods create a bright, crystalline timbre with outstanding projection and warm overtones.

The bright tone of the guitar is further enhanced by the Grand Auditorium body style with its Venetian cutaway. Its sleek design yields a strong treble zing across the tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. The Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar that also adapts well to medium strumming.

Appointments include an ebony headstock overlay, a beautiful abalone rosette, white binding, and artful abalone fretboard inlays.

Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.

The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultraviolet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.

Ended my longing for "just one more" guitar

I play in church (Contemporary Christian), and this is simply a fantastic instrument for leading others in worship. Whether live or in the studio, it just "rings" with wonderful, bright, cheery overtones that just carve out a great piece of real estate in the mix. I used to look at other acoustics, wish I had this or that, and those days are over. Spend the money on it, it's better than 3 cheaper guitars. I have about 8, and it the only thing I play now. Save yourself from buying the first seven....

The sound still amzes me...

I bought this guitar 4 years ago, and since then I've been in many guitar shops and played a variety of other guitars, and this one still has the "warmest" and most breath-taking sound in the room. Well worth the money.

This is the best guitar I have ever purchased! I've owned over the years, 7 or 8 guitars, and this guitar tops them all. It has a sweet tone to it, and a nice vibe! I've owned this guitar for about a year, and love it. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

Great guitar!

As the title states, I think that this is a great guitar. It can be considered a bit pricey at $2500-$2900 USD, and this can be prohibitive considering you're almost into custom luthier guitar pricing. As for the guitar itself, it is a beauty to admire in both sound and build. The build detail is excellent with its beautiful inlays and its second-to-none playability. The action was perfect right out of the box. The tone is crisp, clean, and even from the lows to the highs. If you could swing one for around $1700-$2100, I completely recommend it, or if you have oodles of cash just laying around......buy it. You won't be disappointed. RS-San Diego
